Camp ADK TearUP's - Summer / Fall 2004

Postby campadk » Thu Jul 22, 2004 3:10 pm

Here is our latest schedule of summer/fall trips for some more 'Tearing' Up of the Adirondacks of New York, specifically Fish Creek Pond Campground located north of Tupper Lake on the west shore of Upper Saranac Lake.

This park is second to none (in our opinion) and offers close to 300 prime waterfront campsite.. Most have a nice sandy beach and lots to see with the activities on the ponds. You'll be pampered here with wood, ice, canoes and icecream delivered right to youru site! Join the kids in 'yoohooing' across the ponds at night to other campers or enjoy the many activities for the kids. There is great biking right in the park and beyond. For those looking for a quieter environment, you can camp at Rollins Pond with is directly connected with Fish Creek Pond.

We had a great time in July on one of our last trips there, and met Norm and his wife Jeanne from Cornwall at Fish Creek with their newly finished tear.

We have 3 more trips planned (4 most likely). Anyone else who can make it, let us know!

  • August 7-12, 5 nights Fish Creek Pond, site 92
  • August 18-22, 4 nights Fish Creek Pond, site 80
  • September 3-7, 4 nights Fish Creek Pond, site 122
  • October 8-11, 3 nights Fish Creek Pond (tenative)

Well! I guess I waited too long to pick a date to go to Fish Creek Pond. :(
Reserve America says that there are no sites available for Aug 6-8. We had some plans change, and thought that we'd try heading out.
I think I will set up the reservation for Oct now so that we don't miss that date too!
P.S. I just tried to book a site for Oct, No sites available. Am I missing something? Does Reserve America get all the sites?
I'm bummin'

Hi Steve,

No problem on Oct. Once schools are back in there is no need to reserve. We just went and picked out the best site available (there are plenty at that time).

In Aug when we are there there are a few sites available. I just checked, site 283 is available Aug 9-13th.

What we often do is just take another site for a day or two and move once or twice. We never hesitate to go with no reservation for a few days.
