I think the rain has passed, just a little drizzle right now. It should be 2 to 2.5 hours for me so I'm heading out, everyone be safe.

What a great weekend we had!! The weather was great and met some new people, too.

Thanks to Nathan for putting this together at a cool park and even cooler gift pack that he made for everyone. Sorry, I didn't take ANY pictures so I'll have to wait for those who did.

Jeff

great weekend

Ditto the compliments that Jeff stated!!! Great job Donna and Nathan of selecting the park and organizing the event. Good to see everyone again and meet some new campers. The food Saturday night was at least 5-star or more. At least Darren and Nathan avoided the bees this time. After hearing about LCG from everyone we decided on the way home today to reserve a spot if any are left.

Talk about a great looking, young, fun loving bunch....Nathan and Donna, we can't say enough Thank Yous for so much work in putting it together and holding it all together at your site...worked out great...Nathan thanks for the cup a cup this early this morning....bad headache this morning must have been the smoke, pollen and it could have been that bottle of wine I must have consumed. Thanks to all for a great and fun filled weekend...it made our really bad news turn out to be a great weekend. So very glad D decided to come on in spite of the loss of his Sister on Thurs night. We will now re pack in the "big rig" and head to Muskogee OK on Monday afternoon. D will however post more pics later. Now everybody listen up: some of the pictures you get from other sources here may have been doctored....Em & I didn't do what it looks like! But we had a great time not doing it.......Queenie Jeanne & D

for coming and sharing the weekend with us.

It stopped raining at the park by noon on Friday and the clouds started clearing out later in the afternoon. The nights were clear and crisp. The days were glorious. The sunrises were beautiful albeit a bit lonely. :)

For those that asked about the rib rub:

Thanks to Glenn and Opal for the awesome gift!

Em and Jeanne - you are safe, I didn't have my camera with me! ( though I had plenty of time to go get it when Em ended up under the table :shhh: )

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Will post some photos in another post...

Thanks again everybody!

What a way to kick off the camping season!! to Nathan and Donna for organizing and being the hostesst with the mostest - loved the goody bag - took a lot of time to make all those tears - gonna start a new tradition there.

Really enjoyed seeing all the bells and whistles of all the builds - got tons of ideas for the hubby and I to try - gonna figure out that cover for my kitchen some crafty way. Maybe it'll be done by the end of the season.

Really enjoyed the banquet and fun around the campfire. Guess I'll have to pay attention to the time to make it for the photo next time - what a great photo.

Ladies - look for a post on the lady's thread about the second annual Gypsy Goddess gathering - no details yet, but will be sometime in June

There was an interesting arrangement of artifacts around Jeannie and Dennis' campsite. First was the "Tree Frog".

Image

Second was the "Marker".

Both Jeff and I asked the ranger about the marker and were told the same thing. He said they do believe it's a grave marker but they can't confirm or deny the existence of a body. He also mentioned they believe the mound behind the tree frog is a burial mound.

No Morels found but had fun looking for them.
