Trudy - You have mentioned a good route south from Little Rock. What highway did you say to use? Getting my maps ready to go.

Tony - I checked out Devils Den and it's about 6.5 hours from LCG and the last leg will be right at 4 hours back to KC. Might make a good stopover on the return trip. Also check out Motion-X GPS Drive for the iPhone. Navigation for $2.99 and it works better than the high dollar one I have.

The way we went last year was 167 just south of Little Rock to the LA border... (Junction City) and then 9 to to 79 to Minden and on into Lake Bisteaneu. The year before we took 30 out of Little Rock to Prescott and then south ... but the 167 way shaved off about 30-45 minutes. Trudy

Well, Kevin looked to be in good shape at Crawford.......he better be...Dennis and I have done Pinnacle 3 times and the older we get the rougher it gets.....Don't really know if we could make it if we took all day?????? The sign at the bottom used to say "if you smoke turn back now" last time we where there it was gone....someone didn't see the humor it it I guess...
We just got in a couple of hours ago from Colorado...will look at the our schedule and see if we can leave early and stop over with you all.....looks like much fun...not to be confused with caravan ing of course, ......queeniejeanne

You know there is an "easy" and a "hard" side to Pinnacle, right?

Of course, it all depends on what your definition of "easy" is....

Maumelle is a nice park, Macy and I drove through it yesterday and thought it would make an excellent park for a gathering. Little did we know it would happen so soon. We live about 20 minutes away. We can not leave home until thursday afternoon but I will come out and visit you guys Wednesday.
Your campsites are in a nice area.
Gary is right about hwy 167 south. Macy and I grew up in Eldorado which is 120 miles from little rock. 2 hour drive. roads are pretty nice. About 85 miles from eldorado to Lake Bistineau; around an hour and 40 minute drive.
Let me know if you need any info about the area.
Maybe we can get susann (iplay10us2) to come out and meet us.

Larry and Macy

I am going to try and do that, Larry and Macy. I had originally planned on being at the LCG event, but I am headed to Kentucky next week to assist my sister in something, and I plan on camping on my way there and back, and I just won't be able to take any more time off after that, I'm afraid.

I should be back from Kentucky by then, and would love to stop by, visit, and see everyone's teardrops.

That looks like a good distance to stop. However, Kathy and I aren't going to commit until the day before as we just may drive through. Depending on the weather and how we feel, if we do stop, we will make it there for sure.

I just picked up that app for the iphone, but haven't had a chance to dig into it. Looks cool, thanks for the recommendation!
