Cool Julie and Jeanne and Dennis. Looks like I'll have to get the group areas checked out soon.

Actually it's Winner Winner, Chicken Fried Steak Dinner.

The Beto Junction Truck Stop and Restaurant is at the I-35 exit.

This one is a COE Lake so no Kansas pass is required. (Corps Of Engineers)

Nick at Crawford said we can order the passes online but whats the fun in that? I think we should have an early gathering somewhere and get them then.

The June date looks like it should work for us.

It will take some planning to get there from where we live though. :R

Oh she stops by once in a while and then questions me about something I said. So we are probably in the doghouse but she doesn't know it yet.

Darren,

I don't remember when you explored JRR. Here is something to consider:

http://www.hikercentral.com/campgrounds/105153.html

Riverside West is a good location of typical rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is January.
At last, the time is right for camping again; Riverside West in Kansas is a splendid pick.

The friendly folks working here and the glorious facilities will make you feel glorious.
At Riverside West during the days of summer highs are in the 90's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 40's; nighttime lows at Riverside West all through the wintertime frequently dip into the 10's.

----
So if it is a wet May the water level may be up and prevent us from accessing the campground. The reservoir was constructed for flood control.
