Wow!!!! Cool TD!! Did you build and paint that? It is really nice, can't wait to see it at Crawford. Pay Ron when you get there because it will depend on how many show up. I think we'll make a head count and then divide the $200 by how many are there.

DIRECTIONS!!!!!!!!

Okay just wondering....

Google maps tells me to take the turnpike to Tulsa and then just north of Miami, OK then jog over to about Baxter Springs, KS on 166 then north on 69 past Pittsburgh, KS

then 47 west to Girard, KS and then north on 7 and onto the park.

Is that the best directions? Good roads?

Thanks Kansas friends!!!

I am planning to be there, but will be eating cheap! haha
Likely I'll work half day Friday and leave from work at noon. It's gonna be about a 4 hr drive for me though....

:applause: Sounds right to me. You will get to Farlington KS and just keep going. The signs are well posted. The road from Girard to the lake is curvy but not dangerous. The road to Girard is flat and narrow.

Mike is taking Friday off so we plan on getting there early.

Anything you want from the store get it in Girard, Pittsburgh or Ft. Scott. Farlington doesn't have a store.

Wonder if the marina is going to be open?

I am also planning on arriving early Friday. Ditto on everything Miriam said. Wal Marts in both Ft Scott and Pittsburgh.

reo-ron wrote:I talked to Nick at CSP today and sent them a check for the "Lakeview" South Shelter Group Area. I said there is plenty of room and we CAN double up if we need to! We have ten spots included with the weekend rate. It is ours from Friday afternoon till Sunday @2:00pm . The cost will be $200 divided by the number of campers that show, ie 10 campers = $20 each , 20 campers =$10 each. If I'm by myself it'll be an expensive weekend!!haha The only other cost is a daily vehicle pass, which is $3.70 per day for two days or $7.40 . Soooo Bring yor friends the more the cheaper!

PS can someone keep track of the campers who are comming so we have a roster and count. My computer skills are minimal!! THANKS

Hey

My wife, kids and I will have to back out. I will be down in Honobia, OK for their Annual Bigfoot Festival and one of the group I belong to will be involved with running a mini conference with a guest speaker (Jeff Meldrum) and I will be there. We will have some fun in the woods also.

Hey, looks like Zane and I will be there. We are really looking forward to it. I've never been to a gathering, so as far as food, do we do a pot luck dinner, or is everyone on their own. Just let me know, and if we do pot luck, what shall we bring?
