Does anyone know if you can buy pay as you go cellphones from union?

Paul, you can use Jitterbug without a contract but I think you have to use their phone (about $80-$90 for that). The thing about that little oval shaped phone is that it has better antennae than the rectangular shaped phones; plus, they contract with Verizon to give better, broader coverage than the others. If you are an AAA member, you can get a reduced rate and additional minutes just by giving them your AAA card number.

According to my readings, there will be large areas where there is no coverage with any phone, regardless of what kind of cell phone you have.

:applause: :applause:  Yay Slowcowboy!!! Mike I'm so glad to see that you guys have gotten plans made for a gathering. I wish I could make it. I'd love to see that part of the country. Unfortunately the timing won't work for me as I'm taking time from work the week prior. I'll be lurking here though waiting for the pics and waiting to hear all about the trip from everyone.
Oh and I like the Walk the Winds 2012 name.

Slow, Put me on the maybe list.... Think the kid starts back to school right then, but.... and I have a trip to Napa right after that.... but it's not that far from Denver and I'd love to come up!!! I'll pass this info on to others in my area and see who wants to come play.... Suggestions, go up a day ahead and hang streamers for everyone to follow, it works well when you have no signage! Also potluck on Saturday night - always a good thing.... a list or flyers of stuff to do in the area for the adventurer's....

Question: is the disbursed camping close to the group site, I usually prefer it....

Side note: if we can't get you out of WY, having a gathering there is AWESOME!!!!

I'll let you know as we get closer, if I can come.

Pam , I will add you to the maybe list. The dispersed camping from what the Pinedale Ranger District told me is all over the place. Just pull off the road and setup. Hope you can make it.

Thanks for the notice on Tearjerkers! The more the Merrier.

Plus, getting to meet Slowcowboy is worth the trip !
