Thanks Scott.... I'd love to, but have promised not to sleep in that dang ol' tent one more time! I almost gave it away already!!! hahaha

I'm broker than broke right now, well... I could skip the grocery store and the house payment... j/k !
If I go, that means I've got 3 weeks to get the roof on, doors on, and galley hatch made and attached. Which means $, $ and $ - wood, trim, hinge, oh and haven't started the electrical yet. And no hitch on my car just yet either!!! I should just get a credit card and get rolling... literally!!

I have a refridgerator that I need to sell and might make $300-$400 off of it , which will definitely help !

BY THE WAY ------ CHECK OUT THE SOUTH CENTRAL THREAD== BEAVERS BEND SEPT 15-17!!!!! Already have about committed, but not all the MOKAN folks!

Neal
As far as I've heard we're all still going to be there. I know that Trudy and I are looking forward to it. It's been over a month since we've done anything but patio camp and we need to get the Warrior off the patio and out somewhere more picturest. Not to mention where there is more interesting people other than our dog and tomcats.
Gary
Where ever we raise the hatch is home.
Darn blank states keep getting further away and we keep traveling slower ain't never gona get this map full.

You know, I'm really itching to get outta town and do something... just relaxing sounds good ! I'm tempted to come up there anyway and sleep in that dang old tent !!! Especially if my 16 yr old wants to come with me.
It's a 5 or so hour drive. If I do come and do the tent, then I'm borrowing a cot this time. Even that blow up air bed keeps me dreaming about sleeping on a big foam mattress IN A TEARDROP!!!

If I'm tent campin' do I still have to make reservations? Or will they allow a tent on the same site as a teardrop? That would be great.

Okay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like I can still get either 44 , 52 or 54 !!!!

I think I might just make it !!!

Now let me just figure the miles, the gas, see if my 16 yr old wants to come and make sure they or the 17 yr old can stay with their dad that weekend.

WOO HOO!!!! but alas, a tent. I really don't think I can get doors AND a galley hatch AND the hitch AND wiring all in two weeks! I did buy 100 ft of 14 ga wire today, got the 10 ga , can go get the battery tomorrow, already have the swing away jack, I know the taillights I want ($6.99 x 4 at Pep Boys) I'm gonna have square doors, and already have the windows (thanks Rick!) but don't have any of that hardware yet .... YIKES I don't have the roof material yet either !!! whew!

Okay, maybe just ONE MORE TIME in a tent , and with a cot, and if I've got a electrical hookup anyway, i'll just bring the dadgum air conditioner!! hahahaha

So how much HAS to be done, in order to tow it and sleep in it???

Trailer lights,
Exterior roof,
Doors attached,
Tongue jack attached....

And cover it with a tarp!!!! hahaha

Yep, NealB. It's still on!!

Julie, take your time and don't rush just to make this gathering. Bring a tent and have some fun!! I do remember jamming to get mine road worthy for Minden a year ago. I brought a tarp and had plans to pull over and cover it if it rained. Luckily, it didn't but I was worried the whole weekend. Actually, it did sprinkle in Minden but I had a screen house to cover my trailer.

Julie, I know what you're saying. We may be coming with no doors and no hatch. I'll need to stock up on duct tape.

I haven't got the wiring doen on the Element yet and I need to ge the trailer inspected and licensed. I hope we make it!

Well, I went ahead and went today and got the deep cell battery, and getting ready to go look at hinges for the door at HD , and an exhaust vent type fan for the back of the ac unit. Talked to my insurance agent too , and the insur on the teardrop won't be too much. He said here in Okla utility trailers don't need a tag, but camper trailer will :(

Okay, so It's off to HD For now. If I don't buy anything then I'll get back on the 'net and order door locks and T molding.

I almost booked a site this a.m. I'm in a little better mood now, so I'll go ahead and do it.
