I've gone as far as Knob Noster that one year , looks about the same distance. I'll be ready for a vacation again by then.

No need to put me on the list yet though ... Might organize another April campout down towards S.W. Oklahoma or something ...

WooHoo! I did remember today was the day. In fact I woke up early this morning and got up to reserve our site. The darn site would not accept it on Apr 15th

I ran into something similar last year and they didn't "release the inventory" until after the first of the year.

Needless to say I was concerned. I fired off an email and I got two answers back. The second one was correct, get this

To follow up on my previously sent email, another reason why you were not able to make a reservation is the booking window did not actually open until 8:00 am. New inventory is available on the web when the call center opens at 8:00 am.

Sigh

Anyway, I got site #35 reserved. And man look at the participation on the first available reservation day!

I also found out the Missouri River bridge at Miami, MO was reopened October 4, 2010 so that shouldn't be an issue for any of our northern neighbors coming down to join us.

I have updated the list with everyone above. As you reserve your spot, please let us know and I will update the list on the first page.

Got the list caught up. Thanks for coming out and camping with us!

The middle loop kind of goes down a hill but they are still some nice sites. I think 23 or 25 is rather unlevel but the others aren't too bad. The sites closest to us in the middle loop 29 - 32 are not reservable but I recall them as being nice sites. Here is site 32

Good morning. Got up this morning and tried to access the reservation site to see the status.

You can't just browse the calendar for your desired park. No, first you have to go through all the steps to enter a reservation before they give you a link to a calendar.





I'm interested in the response to my latest email. Yes, I was nice, I wouldn't mind my mother reading the email.

Perhaps it will work correctly after 8:00 AM.

Vickie and Gus - happy to see you were able to reserve a site.

I wandered up to Arrow Rock today to visit with Jeanne and Dennis. They have reserved site 43 for April. I won't steal their thunder but I had a very enjoyable visit and a warm fresh baked chocolate chip cookie!
