excited

Postby Dick » Sat Jul 24, 2010 11:39 am

Excited!!! You bet - excited to see good friends and meet all the new people we haven't met before - excited to be camping in some "cool" weather - excited to sit around the campfire and chat.

We were going to go camping this week in Iowa but with the brutal heat we're "camped out" in our house.

Darren - is this going to be the largest group for a Crawford weekend?

Great job of starting a tradition.

Hey Dick. This will be the largest Crawford gathering yet, just hope we don't out grow the site. :D Looking forward to visiting with you guys again.

Looks like we'll have 21 campers plus a couple in a tent and a couple in a cabin. So far 43 people. :applause:

Everyone else. Come on down. If you are in the area and want to check out the campers you are welcome to do so. You don't have to have a teardrop to attend. You do have to be friendly though. :)

:? There is a 30 dinner minimum at $5.35 each for catering plus a delivery charge which she couldn't tell me how much it would be. I told her that we probably won't have it catered but warned her there might be a number of people coming down for dinner. They don't take reservations but they are familiar with having large numbers of customers, try stopping by there around noon on any Sunday and you'll know what I mean. By 1:30pm it's pretty much cleared out. I'll probably be down at Crawford on that Thursday so I'll have my dinner then, that way I can be at the campsite to greet people on Friday. I'll put the info together about the different locations they have in case anyone wants to stop and eat on the way to the gathering. The south Pittsburg location has better food in my opinion and if you're coming up 69 highway it's right on the way. :D More to come.

Well, hey, the Crawford Gathering sounds like fun! PLUS, I have an Aunt in Wichita I should stop by and see on the way, PLUS, I saw the Chicken Annie episode on the Food Network, it looks good.....

That's more reasons to go camping than we usually need....

Yep! You'll fit right in. :)

I've never camped in Nebraska. What are your state parks like? Any outstanding places to camp that you like to go to? Looking forward to meeting you guys.
