I'm thinking of camping at Clinton Lake (outside of Lawrence KS) on the 1st weekend in May. Anyone else feel like camping there that weekend? I'm not gonna make reservations, just show up Friday and claim a non-reservable spot in (hopefully) campground #1.

Mother's day weekend....hold that thought. I might make it but have to see what the Dr. says.

Thanks Droid! My Mother lives in Lawrence KS so if I can I am thinking that is a good time to scoot up and visit! :twisted:

What campground are you going to be at, the state park on the Lawrence side or over in the Clinton, KS area on the west side?

Pretty sure I'm gonna be on the Clinton side, campground #1.......? Never been there before so I really don't know the layout. I'll check a map & look it over....I shouldn't be hard to find.....

Campground 1 sounds like the State park campground. I might be able to stop by to meet some of you folks and see some cool campers. Will be camping near by with the Scouts this weekend. Our troop is hosting a district event for a bunch of Cub Scouts, so I probably won't camp another weekend. BTW the campground by the little town of Clinton is Bloomington Park. Hope that helps you identify your camping location for sure.

Yeah, I know where you'll be at. If I remember right, it is the campground with water/electric and I think has concrete pads. Last time I was in that area it was covered in hippies attending the Wakarusa Music Festival.............. ah, good times :beer:

TRIP CANCELLED! Due to an unforeseen reduction of my disability check, I can no longer afford to camp this weekend, nor can I reasonably expect to go camping anytime in the foreseeable future. :cry:
