We all had a great gathering last weekend at Crawford State Park so we reserved it again for 2012. Hope to see you there and let me know if you have any questions.

Here's the current list of attendees and food. There are no requirements to post what food you are bringing, it always works out fine. The pot lucks will be Saturday morning and evening. The rest of the time it's fend for yourself. Please correct me if I missed you.

Come on down. If your camper isn't finished bring a tent or just come down and visit. Saturday around 4 is the best time as everyone will be there fixing supper. Bring a dish along and join in.

Well I think are going to do our best to get out there even if it is in just a tent. I went ahead and put in for friday off. So what are the details and where would I go to reserve a spot?

We reserve a group area that has 10 sites. The park allows us to pack in as many people as we want and last year we had 20, a combination of trailers and tents. The sites are pretty large and realistically we could get 3 or 4 on most of them, a couple of the sites could hold up to 6 trailers if we park the cars on the road. If being that close to other people bother you you could stay in one of the other campgrounds and come over to visit. The average cost over the years has been $10 for the weekend plus the $4.20 per day for a vehicle pass. The group site is $100 a night. I collect money from everyone and go to reserve the site again for the next year so we don't miss out. The only problem we've had is overloading the electric when everyone was running airconditioners and cooking supper.

The group area has a huge community fire ring, a shelter house, restroom/shower and a lot of open space.

Howdy, FireLion here, been gone fer a while. Don't have a trailer anymore, but count me in if'n ya'll don't mind a tent camper in yer midst.

Hey Noobie from Wichita Kansas again.

You can count me in for September. I just pick up a little Teardrop off of
cregslist. Looks like a cross between a Benroy ( front ) and a weekender ( back ).
It will need a little work to get ready.

This will be a nice starter camper. I can use this camper for a while to get a better ideal of TD camping. This will give me more time to plan my pop-up TD design.
