By the way, "Wyoming 511" app has all the current info on the road closure(s), including a map.
Good to download to your phone (Android or Apple) for use enroute or later in the week as this develops.

What road are you taking?

If the 191/89 is still closed in the morning I am going to Pocatello, Montpelier, Kemmere Wyoming then up to Cora and New Forks. Looks like Highway US 30 from Pocatello to Kemmerer and then 189 north

That's my plan too. Don't know how much time you'll have but if you go that route Fossil Butte National Monument is totally worth an hour. It's only a couple miles off the road. It's amazing. there are fern fossils that will blow your mind. And too many others to mention.

I saw that spot on the map. I am trying to get going at least by 6 am. Trying to get loaded and hitched up tonight. The heat is sapping what little ambition I have.

Have a great time folks! I won't make it this year, wish I could. Summers are too short and way too much going on. Can't wait to see pics and hear the stories!!

Had a very nice time at Walk the Winds 2016. Thanks Mike for making it happen. I didn't take a single picture but it was great meeting all the people, sharing the campfire and just sittin' in the shade getting to know you all. Saturday's potluck was some mighty good eatin' and the weekend weather could not have been any better, cold mornings, cool evenings and wonderful warm sunshine in between. Wyoming is one amazing state to visit. In case you can't tell, I had a great time!

Looks like it was another great weekend! Will sent me a text message with some pictures and it looked like a lot of fun. Maurisa and I were bummed we couldn't make it this year as we moved out to Virginia, but maybe next year!?!

Cheers,
Ryan
