Some Wyoming sights worth seeing? Been there and did these: Take the east Y'stone exit to Cody for the firearms museum and the Buffalo Bill Museum. Bring swim trunks for a soak at Thermopolis hot springs. From there, south into the Wind River Reservation. For railroad buffs, Cheyenne has the Union Pacific museum.

I must have barely scratched the surface. Surely, some of you locals can guide us to other must-see sights.[/quote]

The best way to see Wyoming is to get off of the interstate highways.

Stop at a visitors center or port of entry and pickup a WYDOT map.

Shows historical sites.

Most towns have museums.
Lots of sites from the Indian Wars.
Lots of history along the pioneer trails.
Casper has the National Historic Trails Center, Fort Caspar, and Veterans Museum and several other museums.

South Pass City where Esther Hobart Morris was appointed Justice of the Peace. First woman to hold public office in the country.

US highways 14a, 14 , and 16 over the Bighorn Mtns. are great drives.
14 fron Sheridan or 16 from Buffalo to Gillette .
Tours of open pit coal mines from Gillette.

Grey bull has the Museum of Flight and Aerial Firefighting.

Most any state highway is scenic

Green River has the Intergalactic Spaceport

Devils Tower as seen in Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Wyoming Whiskey Company in Kirby :wine:

Lots of areas with no cellular coverage and google earth can get you lost :?

Lost more to see and do but my finger is tired.

Be there or be square

Will

One stop that my whole family enjoyed is in Kemmerer, the JC Penneys family home museum. Then we went to the store about a half a block away and it was really cool. Who knew???

After all the absolute $### show I’ve been through with divorce attorneys this year, it’s going to take a LOT MORE than $4 gas to stop me from coming.

Durn it Slow, you NEED to get away and go camping.

But.......We don't have conversation police. If you don't like whatever the topic being discussed is, walk away, go fishing, take a nap under the pine tree, etc.

Hope to see Slowcowboy and every one else at New Fork Lake in August. :D

Don't forget to bring your lanterns for a light up. Not saying we are scared of the dark

Y'all come now, hear.

Be there or be square
