Okay, I'd like to see some interest in this date and park. It is located about 50 miles east of Kansas City on Hwy. 50 near Whitman AFB. Take a look at the website http://www.mostateparks.com/knobnoster/camp.htm . I have never been there before but it looks like a really nice, shady campground. There are reservable sites with or without electric hookups. No water hookups but there are spigots nearby.

Now, the campground is layed out kind of strange, as far as reservable sites go, in relationship to the bathrooms. Me, I don't mind walking but I don't want it to be a PITA for the ladies that come along. Since I have never been there before, it's hard to judge the distance and size of the park from the campground map. For now, I'm looking at the sites from 40-51. All have electric hookups except for #42 (handicap accessible) and #44. There are closer sites towards the bathrooms but they are double sites and have to be reserved together as one.

If someone has been there before, drop some knowledge on us and enlighten the masses. I've been talking to Gary (Rayvillian) about this and he has been there before but many years have passed since then. He and Trudy (wife) are planning on coming so there are two going already. Nothing is set in concrete so any input would be appreciated.

Sounds do-able. If I can (hopefully) get the jewel box done by then!
That's about a 5 hr drive for me. Is this for a Sat / Sun only or ?

Yes, Jewels, Sat. and Sun. I put the 23rd on here because I figure some/most would arrive on Friday afternoon or evening. It's about 2 1/2 hours for me.

Trudy and I are definetly in and will probably reserve 43 for 23 to 25.
Looking forward to seeing you all again.

P. S. 143yards to the bath house ain't bad. We camped last weekend at Harry Truman park at Truman Lake and the closest site to the John was 100 yards and we were 1/4 mile away up hill all the way. Needless to say we drove up hill alot.

I'll check the calendar but we'll try and make it. We may even have a half assembled teardrop by then. You all have to promise not to laugh.

Wow!! Are you bringing one of the Silver Shadows you sell to the gathering? The Amish are known for their craftmanship, I hope you don't mind a beer drinker eyeballing your wares? That would be really cool if you did bring one. I think alot of builders could "borrow" some ideas from a commercially made rig.

Who knows, you might even make a sale there  !!

I plan on bringing a 5x8 with heat and air conditioning, And won't mind eyeballing at all.
