Albq, NM in October?

Postby oklahomajewel » Wed Aug 02, 2006 10:06 pm

I'm just wondering if anyone is going to be at the Albuquerque Balloon Festival this October?

Julie,

I PM'd all around back in the Spring and only ended up with the four trailers of us going.
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

Julie, I imagine Jim (my single partner...remember him) and his balloon partner David, will be there with the SkyBird balloon...they are regular attendees.....

...as regular attendee/participants, they are comped motel rooms so they won't be camping but will probably be around some where...checkout http://bayouballoonadventures.com/

I'm not into balloons, but I wouldn't mind going up if there are a lot of teardrops going! I can finally show my wife what they're all about.

Here's the link to sign up and make reservations: http://www.balloonfiesta.com/

It's short notice now, so their RV Park is sure to fill up!

Hey Pres... the four of us have spots at Enchanted Trails RV Park. Marty there is a nice lady on the phone, 1 800 326 6317
can't remember their website .

So far, I think Chris & Fran are leaving early, early Friday Oct 6 and driving on to ALB. Dave, Cindy, Rick, Linda, and me and ??? will meet late Thursday night in Amarillo, then trek to ALB Friday morning.
Don't know who's leaving when, I'll leave to come home Monday the 9th I think.

I've never been there but have been told it is more awesome than anything you've seen in pictures. There's lots of other events and things to see & do too.

C'mon !!! Julie

I live here, but I don't expect to have my Cubby anywhere near finished by then. I'd love to see yours for inspiration, though!
