ATTENTION::::

The plan in place is that "dguff" Jerome will be camping at the nice Boiling Springs park, in Northwest Oklahoma by Tuesday the 23rd.... then head towards OKC/Guthrie on Wednesday the 24th.

Jerome , along with me and the Jewel Box will head to Fountainhead/Lake Eufaula in eastern Oklahoma, right off I-40 near Checotah, OK to camp there Wednesday night .

Camp there at Lake Eufaula with "Victor Star" Darren who is heading south from the Kansas City area on Wednesday afternoon.

We'll all camp there at Lake Eufaula, then leave Thursday a.m. on hwy 69 south and hook up with the turnpike to head to Hugo, OK then to Paris, Tx then to Texarkana then Shreveport then LCG !!!!!

carthage stop

Postby starleen2 » Fri Oct 12, 2007 2:10 pm

Again, we plan to leave Carthage, TX at 12:00 noon to journey to the campsite. If you are coming up on Hwy 59 from the south, stop on by (even if you are coming early). We live behind Rehobeth UMC at the brick house (I am the pastor) right on 59 N (2.5 miles north of loop). If there are some who want to convoy and need a meeting place, we have a very large parking lot and bathroom facilities for the weary traveler – then make the last push to LCGII.

We plan on leaving Ft Worth Friday morning, probably around 9 or so. We'll be taking I-20 all the way.

Looking forward to seeing everyone

....all of y'all coming in from the west on I20, remember to take the I220 by-pass around Shreveport-Bossier City...only a mile and a half longer and much better than I20 thru Bossier City, which is rough, narrow, curvy and can be scary, if you gotta couple of 18wheelers around you.......

Here is a LINKY..

P.S. I know that is all I need is a talking Parrot Laptop to tell me all the wrong turns I make

TESTIFY, BROTHER!! That's the way we'll be going. Last year, I thought my TTT was going to end up with side rashes after that pothole-infested I-20 in Shreve!!!! If I remember right, jplock ended up with scrambled eggs (literally) before he got to the LCG.

I'll be detouring thru Austin this year to leave Jake with my niece. I'll be leaving from there early Thursday morning heading North to Dallas, then over to Shreveport (taking the aforementioned bypass if I don't take a detour like I did last year :x ).
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

We'll be leaving Broken Arrow around 1:00pm Thursday. We're going to take the scenic road from Ft Smith, Ark. south, maybe spend Thursday night in Mena, Ark. We may stay at Queen Whilemina State Park in Mena. Looks like a beautiful place. If we do, we'll be at lake Bistineau Friday noon. Hopefully we'll run across someone else on the road.

Safe travels,

I got a PM from "dguff" , they left Eureka, CA on the 19th.

Hope he doesn't mind that I post the info here ....

It's been pretty rough so far. It rained hard on us all day on Friday, we stopped in Fallon, NV. Saturday we drove from Fallon to Salina, UT. Ok except for the last hour or so we had snow and ice. Sunday we left Salina and drove in the snow and ice for an hour or so. They were sanding/salting to roads and the teardrop was a mess, covered with dirt and dried salt for the rest of the day We stopped in Pagosa Springs , CO last night. About 18 degrees. This morning we crossed Wolf Creek Pass at 10,550 feet. Icy,sanded roads. Right now I am in a library in Monte Vista CO since the WiFi connections we got so far today were very poor. I read your other email for the direction to the park. Feel free to do your own thing for dinner and we will figure out breakfast when we get together. Sorry for the whining, it looks like pretty clear sailing from here on.

I'm going to Longview Thursday night to visit my folks. Will leave Longview around 11:00 (or after I finish picking pecans) and head to the gathering via I-20.

Be Safe!!
