hey everyone,

It's time to start talking food for Cloudcroft.

Coca Cola Teardrop - Banana pudding
Jazzy Lynn - homemade cookies
Nobody - Pork tenderloin or beans if fire ban
Mandy - Green chili enchiladas

Linda, I plan to do a couple of pork tenderloins on the smoker/grill (if there's no restriction on charcoal??). If we aren't able to use the grill, we'll probably do beans 'n ham again.

I will call tomorrow and double check on fire restrictions as far as cooking goes.

We can keep an eye of the fire danger by going here;

FYI.....Cloudcroft is just a mountain village. It does not have a big grocery store. There is a mercantile with a nice bakery. They have the necessities but you can drop a lot of money in there.

So..........you should stop in Alamagordo if coming in from the west. Artesia if coming in from the east and Ruidoso if coming in from the north.
Artesia, Alamagordo and Ruidoso all have Grocery stores and Wal-marts.

Gee hope there ain't a charcoal restriction it's kinda hard to cook our breakfast without charcoal. :shock:

I'm not a very good camp cook. :( Is it ok if I make several different kinds of cookies at home and bring them for the potluck? This is my first gathering and I'm not sure how these things work.

So far we've had a lot of rain so hopefuly there will be no fire restrictions. :worship: We had a fire watch this weekend but only because of the high winds. Again I hope all this passes before the gathering. :worship:

I want to make some green chile chicken enchaladas. :thumbsup:

well, not sure what Mike and I will fix. Kinda depends on the fire situation. If there is no fire, and no electricity............. :roll: it just might be chicken salad sandwiches............ lol

Just know that the CASHCOW will certainly be able to put on the ole feed bag as well.... and perhaps whip up something tasty.........
