When is it going to be on ReserveAmerica so I can pick my site? 8)

Same invitation is open Earl! my # is 214*986 five eight fourty four

I know the heat is coming fast and while I am trying to get moved within a month we will see if it happens, I am going balls to the wall to end this $400/mo lot payment. I was considering once having a one nighter before it gets too hot if there was any interest. I have water now. I don't really want to post it as a gathering since I'm not all set up, but there's plenty to see and PLENTY of firewood! I have space right now for 5+ trailers easily and could do it next weekend. After that, I fear summer will have begun, and after that it will be a fall gathering!

If there's any interest, I'll plan to bring the camper and who shows will show!

And thousands descend upon Thomas' idyllic peace of heaven on earth. Did somebody say Woodstock?

"by the time we got to Woodstock, we were half a million strong . . ."
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Depending on work schedule's we'll probably come out in the afternoon next Saturday. I don't mind helping clear some trees, I can bring a chainsaw or two if needed.

Well good luck in Vegas and I hope you won't need it!!

Bobby keep your eyes posted here. I actually have been doing all of my clearing with a pair of loppers so far! I am almost done (With the preliminary stuff) The only trees I am taking down are two that I have to do to get my buildings in, I don't want to take those, but I have to. Do you know how to cut a tree down? I've been learning the process on you tube but haven't done one myself. I've got a chainsaw in the shop now getting a tune up so I should be good to go! I probably don't want to be falling trees with a bunch of teardrops around though haha!

Just don't do it alone for safetys sake.
I knew a guy who logged alone. No one to help him or call 911.

Thomas,

I didn't get a chance to make it out to your new place this weekend and unfortunately I can't make it this coming weekend. We're gonna be out of pocket for 2-1/2 weeks beginning the last week in April and we're trying to get everthing squared away to get out of town. I will make it out there this summer, but will call you before I head out.

Take care,
Tom

Kim gets off at 2 on saturday, and we're gonna head your way shortly afterwards. Should I bring my saw?

Cool, Let me know if anything changes! I am inviting some of my local friends too, and will do some BBQing, and whoever shows will show! Yeah, go ahead and bring your chainsaw, I have mine that was just tuned up, but I can think of at least 5 that I need to cut, and all are pretty skinny except one which is isn't very big at all, just really tall. Once a tree falls we could tag team to cut it up quickly too. I need to drop one to get the trailer moved in place, and 4 others are in places where the cars will park and where I am putting a new driveway through the woods rather than the straight in drive that I have now. We'll have fun!

Thank you Bobby and Kimberly for coming out to the first cookout and firepit at my land! You guys were great company and I am glad you got to meet some of my other friends! There were actually four groups of friends who I have been trying to get to meet for years who are all the same kind of cool people so I was happy to "come together".

We had a total of 12 people and my friend Carrie brought her two sons who LOVED running up and down and all through the trails with their flashlights after dark, that was fun to see all the activity. Carrie also turned me on to this place that has pre-marinated beef and chicken fajita meat and oh man it was great. We did a good fire and had an all around great time. I am so glad Brenda was there because I forgot my thick blanket and only had a sheet in the camper and it got COLD in the middle of the night...

The next day we strolled through the Hunt County Flea Market that is a couple miles away and then visited the Terrell Heritage Festival which was a really nice small town experience. I can't wait to get moved... Here are some pics:

Bobby and Kimberly from my teardrop campers camping group were the first to arrive with "gizmo"

Brenda has been so great to me while I focus 110% on getting the place ready to move in!

My friends Carrie and Justin's sons Brandon and Jeremy loved tending the fire and running through the trails in the woods with flashlights. Thank Bobby and Brenda for getting my little fire into this Biggun!

Cool stuff happens when you put starter fluid in a bottle and stand it up in the middle of hot fire coals!
