Guilty as charged. :( About the time I finished washing the teardrop and started loading up the pickup truck, a downpour hit us. My stuff - camping gear - got soaked while sitting in the driveway.

I'll try to uphold my new nickname. For some reason, I'm getting the urge to go get an air horn and a large stock of flammable liquids.

Speaking of a waterproof camera I managed to get a few choice shots... No group photo though, we broke with tradition, and there was a good amount of people who braved the water too!

Danny got his new teardrop dinged as well as his ankle!

Last ones!

I am looking forward to LCG and hopefully I won't have to "Pull a Danny" if I don't get finished in time!

Thomas, thanks for the pictures. It looks like yall got lots more rain than we did. Hopefully the rain won't visit us at LCG or maybe we should bring some board games or something. Looking forward to it wet or dry.

Sorry we missed out on the potluck, but Kenny works graveyard shift and just had to nap Sat afternoon ( body clock gets screwed up) and we went to town for ice etc and just ate there. Sorry we missed seeing ya Tyler!

We got home alright. Not much rain coming home and it's less than 30 days till LCG !!!

Thanks to all the newbies and the ones who came to look for braving the elements.

:FNP Well, I survived my first Teardrop Gathering... I loved it!!!!
I'd like to Thank everyone for being so welcoming and generous. I def will be back for more.
Unfortunately, LCG is out for me this year.. My daughter has cheer competition on the 27th so I'll be putting it on the calander for next year. Seriously though, I will be getting info on Bevers Bend. We do Thanksgiving with all our Family at my house so Mineral Wells is out for me too.
Woody & Tammy (and family) THANK U soo much for putting on this gathering.. I enjoyed it all even in the Rain! Next year I will enjoy it a little more :wine:
Oklahoma Jewel, Thanks for all the invaluable info, I'm checking out Vouge too.... 8)

That pic of me with Star is seriously SAD.. I really do look doggy preggers...

TTFN..

I want to thank you all for showing my wife and I your trailers. My wife had nixed my plans for building one due to "Claustrophobia" issues. We were offered to get in one and she suddenly changed her mind :)
Could not stay long, but once we got on the road she was researching teardrops.

Ocelli, glad she liked it. That may have been your largest hurdle.

Ocelli make sure you put big windows in the door and if you can make the ceiling 5ft or as close to it as you can it gives it a more open feeling. or you might think about a cargo

Glad you came out to look! I'm guessing that was y'all that came by while I was cooking up fried squash? haha I would've invited you to actually lay down in mine to get the feel for it , but Kenny was snoozing. I think it really helps, whether claustrophobic or not, to have a really light color or beige/white interior to make it feel even more open. Consider shades on the windows that you can roll up out of the way for instance, and a good roof vent. There have been several people with small space issues but little things seem to help.
