Here is the information I have from the Park below:
Thank you for your interest in Petit Jean State Park. All of our campsites have water, electricity, picnic table and grill. We will have plenty of availability during June July and August other than major holidays and the week of June 11-16. We have the most openings in August.
Here is some information about making reservations for campsites.
We cannot split a Friday and Saturday either on arrival or departure. We require the first night’s fee to be paid at the time you make your reservation either by debit or credit card. That fee is non-refundable if you have to cancel. All sites must be reserved in the name and address of the person who will be occupying the site. If someone calls and makes a reservation for a campsite and has to cancel, that fee and reservation cannot be transferred to another individual in the group.
I hope this helps with your plans. If you have any additional questions please feel free to give us a call or visit our website at www.petitjeanstatepark.com

Just follow the website of the first post and request Area"B" and area "C" will be the backup overflow.
Area "B" sites are:36 thru 60
Area "C" sites try to keep in the 60' and 90's for the camp site to be close to Area "B"
Now all we need is a Magic Map to appear.
I would like to request Common Area for us to be. I know this is close to School begins and hotter part of the year but a great place to have a camp-in with access of 40 or more trailers. Please go to the website to see the amenities and requirements.
You might check when making reservations about the two pools. The price of admission to the pool are $3 a day by their fee schedule for 2007. Boat rentals at the "Boathouse" are :
Petal Boats are $3/ 1/2 hour and $5/hour
Fishing Boats are $7 1/2 day and $10 day
Fishing Boats with Motor is $18 1/2 day and $25 a day
Water bikes $4 1/2 hour and $6 an hour
Car Musem $7 or $3.50 for 65+ Under 6 free ( proof rerquired I would think for you thinking types)
Cabins and Lodge rates are there on their website.
And Oh yes the ones of you that are pulling your trailer by airplane there is a day landing strip very close to the area.
Rent a camp
Rent a Tepee is also avaiable.
........ I didn't see a 'bad' site in the entire park, tho some aren't as level as others but all are nice & none are steeply sloped. Tables, fire rings/grates, & lantern poles are standard at pretty well all sites.
.......... You can make reservations online but CANNOT reserve a specific site that way, best way is to call the park & reserve a specific site using credit or debit card. The website at this link - http://tinyurl.com/2vo6cy - has a good map of the campground loops, just click on "Detailed Campground Map" & it'll bring up a PDF in Adobe Acrobat, that shows site #'s & relative location. Might be a good idea to have the map handy when calling in for your reservation. Check-in/out time is 3PM so unless you plan to arrive a lot earlier, that should be OK for Friday nite 'til Sunday PM. All sites, except the sites in Loop A, & # 47 & 48 in Loop B, are Class B sites w/elect(30amp) & water; rates are $17 per day. Loop A is all Class AAA, AA, or A sites, 50amp service w/water & sewer connections & run $24-27 (more for premium sites). The two I listed in Loop B (47 & 48 ) appear to have 30/50amp & perhaps sewer so they're probably Class A @ $24. The park phone # to call for reservations is 501 727-5441.
Pat says he's gonna drive SH 10 ( Longer drive but not as steep a climb )from Ft Smith area to SH 155/154 near Russelville & probably come up the west end of the mountain. That way may not be quite as steep/winding as SH 154 up the east end, but it's a little longer climb (3mi vs 1mi) & unless you're familiar with Arkansas back roads/byways it might be a good idea to approach Morrilton on I-40 either from east or west. Take Exit 108 & follow SH 9 south approx 7mi to junction with SH 154 at Oppelo, then follow 154 west to the mountain/park, about 11mi or so. For those traveling I-40 & want to try the less steep climb at west end, take Exit 81 at Russelville, then south on SH 7 approx 12mi to jct SH 154 at Centerville, then it's a straight shot east approx 15mi to the park. If your trailer is relatively heavy & your tow vehicle has minimum power, that might be the way to go. I pull my TD with a 4cyl Nissan P/U & I've pulled it up the 13-16% grades of the Talimena Drive in Western Arkansas/Eastern Oklahoma. It's slow to be sure (2nd/3rd gear sometime) but did pretty well, & the east end of Petit Jean isn't any steeper if that bad .
Again, the phone # for making reservations is 501 727-5441
See y'all at "Petty Jean" in July

Apparently sites 47 & 48 have Electric (50amp), Water & Sewage hookups and cost more.
Let me know if there are any conflicts with any thing I cannot forsee. We can change this date this early in the planning stages 12-24-07

As Madjack said "Let's Make This Happen"
