Thanksgiving Weekend - 1 year rain delay!!

Postby Cindy » Sun Apr 26, 2015 9:54 pm

A Thanksgiving tradition has been gathering at Lake Mineral Wells State Park. As of Oct. 20, there are no sites open for Thurs or Fri. There are sites for Sat if you call.

There are 14 sites (Live Oak) open for Saturday and Sunday. Texas State Parks for reservations. You have to reserve 2 days online but I think you can reserve 1 day by calling 512-389-8900 9:00AM to 6:00PM Monday-Friday :o
Keep trying if you want to get a site.People may cancel.
If you want to tent camp with us, anybody can have a tent for free on our sites.
If you want to join us for the day, come on out and enjoy the outdoors. Potluck on Saturday is about 5:30 or so.

Who has a site:
Cindy & Dave
Danny & Suzanne
Terry & Greg
Joyce
Thomas
Woody & Tammy
Woody's kids
Roger Evartt
Peggy Donathan

Mike & Brenda Thanks Thomas!
Anybody else got a site?

Believe it or not, the park is usually full on Thanksgiving day with people who are in town to see relatives.

You know , I was thinking about this the other day. Both my kids have moved out of state , and I don't think we're having the gang at our house so maybe we'll just head south. We'll think about it.

Even if my new company craps me out on vacation time I know I will have Thanksgiving off and I WILL be off the day after (one way or another) so I am still in.

Yeah the appraisal company that I work for is (was) owned by BofA, they announced that they sold it last week and it becomes effective at the end of Sept. It may be just fine or it could be crappy, we just had our first "town hall" today giving us some very high level info. More details to come. :worship:
