Fred (and Taz) called and made their reservations (we just did over the internet). Campground gave him site #24 ... so if anyone else calls for their reservations ... let me know what site you get!! Trudy

My Saturday trade went through so I'm cleared for takeoff, unless it's really cold then I'll be staying at home. Picked up a new electric blanket so I should be warm. :D Working on getting the boss to let me leave work early so I don't have to pull the trailer through rush hour traffic.

Is it going to be warm enough? I plan on coming down with my son but won't know for sure until the last minute.

Last weekend in November

Postby lwbittle » Mon Nov 19, 2007 1:48 pm

HAMweather.net long range forecast paints a more frigid picture for the weekend or Nov 30- Dec 1! Highs for Fri-Sun, 52, 14,21 with lows of 12,5,5 deg F!

I hope they are wrong because if it is *that* cold we probably would not be able to participate.

However, this forecast is a beta test and predicting that far out is pretty much a guess. We will just have to see what the weather brings as we get closer. 5 deg F is pretty darned cold to get up in the morning to........

Accuweather sounds better

Postby lwbittle » Mon Nov 19, 2007 6:12 pm

Well, I like Accuweather's forecast a lot better than Hamweather. We will just have to wait and see. I guess we could lay odds on which is closer to being correct. :D

Too bad it wasn't this past weekend......
Beautiful weather in Kansas, about 77 deg today.....

I went to Mickey's Surplus store in KCK today and bought Wigwam arctic socks and a new wool watch cap. I'm ready for the cold. (Although it was 75 when I went into the store and was in a T-shirt and shorts. )

On the LCG weekend, I bought a twin size electric blanket for the old nights. Works GREAT !

For the daytime, we just need lots of firewood and layers of clothes. I've got the latter of that.

I just hope there's no precip that weekend!!!

julie

oh and a little liquid warmth is good too ! :wine:

Some things have come up and it doesn't look like we will be able to make it to "Missouri in December". I hope everyone has a good time!

Rick

About the electric blanket. We used one at LCGII, worked great! Warmed the whole inside of the trailer. If it gets too cold at the gathering, you could all collect the electric blankets and drape the sides of an Easy-Up. Everyone could go inside for the potluck and be toasty warm!
P.S. Don't forget to baste every half hour.
