Steve,

I know the feeling of being too busy. We have just 3 technicians in the school district and cover over 2000 computers between us. Needless to say we don't have much free time.

Well the hatch is almost done on the Bluebonnet Tear, can't say I'm happy with it but I figure I can always rebuild later.

Finish up the fenders and lights tonight and get everything packed and we should be there around 5:30 or 6:00 tomorrow. :applause:

BG - Sorry to hear you can't make it but I'm sure we'll have other gatherings and you're not that far away.

Oh I see the problem... you've got wintels in the school district. If you had Macs you wouldn't be spread so thin for time.

Steve,

You're probably right, there aren't that many kids that know how to destroy a MAC. Our district has been Apple free for almost 7 years now. With the spyware getting worse than viruses, we may eventually wish that we had gone that route instead of PC's.

....WOE IS ME. The storm that came thru last nite, tore a VERY large limb out of a pine tree and it fell and smashed/crushed the corner of my 78yr old mother's house. It ripped about 10' of soffit and facia off the house and busted 2 1x8's on the roof itself, along with about ahalfadozen shingles. It looks like I will be playing carpenter this weekend, instead of camping with all you fine folks(damnit##@$!!^&**). I am sure sorry that I won't be able to trade stories/drinks/tips/drinks/tall tales/drinks/food/pictures/drinks. All I can do is hope for another event soon, at least maybe the Alligator Tear will be ready by then.

All I can say is "lassez bon ton roulette" and take a lotta pics to post for those unfortunates amongst us that can't make what I would bet will be a good time for all

Dang! I hate that..... :(
That was one heck of a storm I had hard rain, high winds, thunder, lightnin, hail & all kinds of debris in the yard. We are just glad that none of you were hurt. (The bright side is) I bet that we will have so much fun this weekend that we will be making plans for another meet very soon..............heck, once I get my tear started I may need a meet every week to get my questions answered.

MadJack,

Sorry you're not going to make it. I would have enjoyed meeting you.

Hope your carpentry goes well, and don't fall off the roof and hurt yourself!

Any chance they're looking for another tech?

BG,

I sure wish so, but with recent cuts in educational funding in the technology area I don't see it happening. Are you in the field? I've got a son that graduated this last year with a CIS degree from Tarleton and he's still looking for a tech job. Can't convince him to go into business on his own.

I guess you could say that i'm in the field. I do computer repair as a way to get a little bit of income right now.

Hi All,

Well, we've got a few teardrops already here. :) The Bluebonnet tear, Coca-Cola, Little Guy, Cowper, Rossi Texas Tear, Hal's Texas Tear, and SteveH is on his way. A few more roll in tomorrow.

I'll try to get pics online tomorrow as well.

Great fun! Nice to meet everyone. We're looking forward to meeting those who couldn't attend this weekend.

Hope that next time we're together, we have a tear. Got a lot more ideas this weekend. Have to quit planning pretty soon and start sawing!

What a great weekend! It was nice to meet all of the other Teardrop Trailer fans on this side of the world last weekend. My family and I had a wonderful time. On the way back Sunday, my wife and I committed to the pursuit of building a Tear that the whole family could use, so we've decided on a design by Andy from the U.K. - the 2+2H. Since we are both fans of John Deere memorabilia, we've decided to use that as our theme (since we saw alot of theme Tears over the weekend like Coca Cola, Bluebonnet and Texas Tear). So the birth of the John Teare has begun. I don't have a time frame, only to say that it will be sometime after I paint the Living Room, Master Bedroom and lay tile throughout half the house! Again, it was great to meet all of you this weekend. A special thanks to Steve and Lisa for all your hard work.
