We had planned to spend tonight at the Gulpha Gorge Nat'l Park C/G in Hot Springs but they don't have elect hook-ups & with the heat lately we decided to forgo that pleasure & get an early start tomorrow (would've only saved 30mi or so anyway). Have slept in the TD without AC in hotter weather but ain't gonna do that by choice anymore ;) . Still hope to be in the Cloudcroft area Wednesday PM so we'll try to find a NF C/G nearby & be at Lower Fir Thursday. Looking forward to seeing old friends & meeting new ones. Everyone PLEASE have a safe trip; see y'all there

Woody, one road goes through the lower fir group area to get to the upper fir group area. So, we will have traffic going through but not sure how much or how often. I don't think it will be a problem.

Harvey, We hope to be in the village around 6pm or so (5pm Cloudcroft time).
It is a 12 hour drive for us. Our 21 year old is riding to Cloudcroft with us and a friend from El Paso will come get her when we arrive.

it looks like James Worley is gonna caravan with us a little over half way and then take a different route to visit relatives.

If anyone needs to give me a ring my cell is 936-635-2596.

It's pouring down rain right now (in El Paso, TX) with thunder and lightening. It sure cooled things off. I'm sure its raining up in Cloudcroft right now as I type this.

So check in time is Thursday, correct? 8)

I'd bring wood just in case. We camped out at our camp near Cloudcroft four weeks ago and there was a little rain but the ground just evaporated it. It was still to dry to light fires.

Hi Mark, glad you guys are still coming.

Great news

There are currently NO fire restrictions so bring the firewood

Check in time is 12 noon Thursday. Charles and I will be at the gate at 12:00

I hope everyone has a safe trip. We will see some of you on Thursday and some on Friday.

Hey Madjack,
We wish all of our teardrop friends could attend every gathering but of course life and jobs tend to get in the way.
We will definately think of you and "poor girl" and all of our friends that couldn't join in when we are sitting by the campfire and enjoying the cool mountain breeze.

We plan to pull out tomorrow around 6am

Everyone drive safe and we will see ya on the mountain.
