I just can't visualize it. I need pictures. Especially the hatch props.

Nothing fancy, bledsoe.. Just really good straight 1x2's and strap hinges. Attached w/ hinge at the counter, then swings up and the hatch rests on it. Will have a wire pin there to secure it. Nothing fancy but it works! Kinda like my "jewel box" which is not as beautiful as I had thought I would make it , but hey! it's MINE!!!

Yep, I'm getting antsy too !!!! I asked my 17 yr old if he and a friend or two want to come too but not sure yet.

FIREWOOD ? anyone? I have a Rubbermaid container still full from LCG, I'll bring but there's always a need for more. No burn ban here as of now.

FOOD ----- gotta have it ! Think about what you're bringing !!! and POST IT ... let us know , ya know... so as to not duplicate too bad... I think I said before I'll do some kind of veggies dish... grilled or something.
Me and the new and improved Scott F will handle the dinner , I mean, make sure there's utensils and table covers and tea I guess.

I'm planning on bringing some oak & cedar firewood. There should be plenty to share. I also plan to bring two kayaks if the weather behaves for us.

Julie, Linda - My wife makes a great chicken spaghetti dish in the slow cooker, & there's usually enough for a 'bunch'! Think I remember from our visit last year that the campsites have elect hook-ups?? We'll need that for the slow cooker. I'll toss a few sticks of firewood into the P/U 'just in case'

Maybe the stuff I have in a pile has dried from the cuttings.
If of couse the burn ban is lifted ( I hope ). I could use the trailer box but not enought wood to burn. :R

My trailer may be an interesting site this time more that it was at Grand Lakes of the Cherokee last year. No where near complete but maybe ready for a leak test by then. I will bring the tarp just planning.
Less than two weeks. :worship:

This is what I have for the pot luck Saturday night. Of course none of this is set in stone so if you end up changing your mind it's no big deal.

Nobody - Chicken Spaghetti
Todah - Sassy Baked Beans
Oklahomajewel - "some kind of veggies dish"
Catoosa Grani - Beer Bread
Reo-ron - Gumbo
caseydog - black bean, corn, tomato and peppers mix, with a little bit of sausage
Coca Cola Teardrop - Banana pudding and tamales (what a combination)
Sodapop Teardrop - Fajitas
Stonepro - Brisket
RAYVILLIAN - Mexican Meatloaf
Asinflava - "Dump cobbler"
davel - Turkey
Woody - French fries and onion rings
Spinnernut - chickin and peppers
s4son - Hobo potatoes This is one of Sylvia's secret recipes. :R

OK. I haven't had breakfast yet and now looking at the food list I guess I'd better stop what I'm doing and eat...
can't wait....Charles washed the Teardrop and polished the wheels and parked in shop so maybe there won't be too much pollen on it. Now for me to clean out and review the packing list.
still can't wait.

Sodapop
I'm sorry You're right I am rubbing it in. It's just that I am sitting here going nuts. I have no work coming in til I get back, I am quitting smoking (6 days) and on top of everything I killed my dog.
Also, I am anxious to spend time with my 2 1/2 yr grandson in Durant just down the road from BB.
I hope it isn't as rainy and windy here tomorrow. I plan on leaving early and just take my time once I get about six hrs south. If it takes 3 days so be it. All my previous trips to Durant have been hurry, hurry drive straight through 12-13 hrs.
I'll wait and let my daughter help with the pot luck. I know she will do better than me.

Later
Randy

Ready to go

Looking at the potluck menu, I decided to make the DO "Dump cobbler". I am so ill-prepared right now that at least I can get that off my "To Do" list.
