Back in Corpus. As promised a few days ago, here are the teaser pics of Ink Lake:
This is a picture taken from next to the park store looking across to one of the camping areas
Image

Another shot next to the park store looking at boat ramp. Lots and lots of kayaks, canoes and paddle boats for rent here.
Image

For those who don't yet have a trailer or tent, or who want to bring famiy/friends who don't want to "camp", a picture of the new cabins that are available.

Image

This is a shot of one of the typical water side camping areas.

Another waterside campsite.
Image

Another waterside campsite and the smallest trailer spotted camping.

The pictures don't do the park justice. It is very pretty, lots of trees. I hope this will get some people off the fence who haven't quite decided to come on and join us.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

My sister and her husband live 20 minutes from the lake, but haven't camped there in years. When we drove over the other day, he decided he was going to renew his park pass and start camping there monthly

He is excited about the November camp-out, and he can really go camping there at a moment's notice.

Just found these! Thanks for sharing Tony!! With the way Texas parks work on the "no reserved site", how are we going to get everyone located near each other?

We'll muscle 'em.

Actually, a few parks let someone from the group arrive and claim all of the reserved sites for the group. I'm hoping Inks does this so maybe someone from the gathering could get there a little early and try to get us together in the same general area.

EXCELLENT!!! My wife and I have been wanting to go to a gathering as soon as one came closer.
Inks Lake sounds great. Count us in, the actual date doesn't matter much.

WELL, add one more tear drop to the list. We just made our reservations today. We will be arriving early Sat. and leaving Sun.

Looking forward to finally meeting some fellow tear droppers! ( is that one "p" or two? )

See you there!

I just went thru the list, lemme know if I left anyone out. Julie, ya comin' down? What about McTeardrops? Dave mentioned them but they haven't responded to this thread. It's turning out to be a nice gathering. Sorry, we are stuck to a list, can't do a cool map like LCG since it's a first come first serve situation.

Well, I haven't committed although it would be a good chance to see all my friends and see the bro and sis in law from Leander too. I'll have to wait and see how things are for November, maybe I'll know better come later Sept.

Y'all make it VERY TEMPTING!!!!! My baby has his 18th birthday on the 15th but don't know what will be planned, he's living with his dad now.

Oh--- and I have a new (and my last) boyfriend.... you'll all meet him soon, definitely at LCG --- you'll absolutely love him !!! I do !!!

we just might have our TD finished by then and I am sure Mike and I could take a couple of extra days off in order to get down that direction. I know Lake Ray Roberts wouldnt be that far of a drive for those of us from Amarillo....but not sure about the other locations. Havent looked at them on the map..... we will keep looking at the post to see what happens and what is decided.
