Anyone up for a gathering in Eustace, Tx at Purdis Creek?

I know this is an old thread - but Eustace is where Cindy& I grew up - went to Hight school and married. We both attended the grand opening of Putis Creek State Park - Cindy's father was the mayor of Eustace at the time. Many in the town thought the park would never open - it was delayed several times due to budget cuts, but finally it did open its gates. We used to ride our bike from town to the park just to test our strength. thanks for the memories all of you who showed up back in 06 - If I had been a part of this group back then, We would have surely been there. We went back to Eustace a few months ago and now ther is a four lane hyway going through town!

Purtis Creek is where it all started for a lot of us Texans.

They were working on that 4-lane highway when we had this gathering. Ahh I remember it well, I didn't even have my trailer ready when we went.

yep.............this was our first gathering. Those of you there probably remember us not being there much. Charles and I didn't stay put.
I will admit he has gotten much better at relaxing, visiting and enjoying the food at gatherings.

We had fun even though there were just a few of us.
