Don't worry Julie I'm not in great shape either on a bicycle. I like to ride when I can. I have an aluminum frame bike ( real lite ); it is easier to get around with. 8) As for the duck tape; I almost forgot. Thanks for the reminder.  Still hunting things I need for the weekend.

Pat :)

So potluck Saturday night?

Banana Pudding (eat dessert first, right?)
Dump Cake
Jambalaya

that's all I remember seeing.

me? since I'm doing breakfast, I think for Sat night I'll just bring potato salad or sumthin like a side dish.

OH!!!!! I'm getting excited... I hate to tell you but then again it's GOOD news so far....
Beavers Bend is in McCurtain County so there is a red flag alert but NOT a burn ban. The other 67 counties were put back on Burn Ban today.

On March 27, 2006 Governor Brad Henry issued a Ban on Outdoor Burning for 67 counties in Oklahoma.

The following counties are NOT affected by this ban:
Pittsburg, Latimer, Leflore, McCurtain, Choctaw, Pushmataha, Bryan, Atoka, Coal, and Marshall
(these counties are in a red flag fire alert)

Extended dry conditions and high winds have increased the fire danger in Oklahoma. Dry vegetation will ignite easily and burn with surprising intensity.

Linda, do you have time to call whoever you spoke with at the park and see if there are any problems there , with having campfires etc? We WILL have fire extenguishers handy, won't we?

Julie

Well the something else just gave me something to do. I'll be bringing my smoker and will smoke a turkey.

Put us down for chilie Saturday night. I told Sylvia one reason she would like camping was that the men did all the cooking. She signed up immediately. I hope everyone has a strong stomach! I promise to do my best and will probably get a little help, if ya know what I mean. I have been buying parts for the trailer but not for the galley. I'm going to pick up a stove Tuesday or Wednesday and Saturday might be the first time I use it. By the time I 'm done I will probably be banned from all future gatherings.

Are we there yet?

Hey everybody.

Hope your day has gone better than mine. My dad is back in the hospital. So at this moment, our weekend trip is on hold. We will see how he's feeling before Friday. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks!
