If you tell them we will pay "double" for any spot we have more than one camper on, they may be interested in "helping". I'll be happy to share !Just an idea. Thanks for your efforts!

Hey Ron, last year at the pot luck supper we received "official permission" to "double up" in the pull through sites. BUT..........since we can not reserve certain sites I can't say that we will have the pull through sites.
NOW.....before we leave the campground on Sunday we can go ahead and make reservations for 2010 and get the entire Buckeye campground which would give us 35 spots plus tent camping for 2010.
Woody pointed something out to me and I called and checked on it.
When I called to make Charles and I a reservation in 05 I was told we could not make a single reservation, we could only reserve 10 sites or more. So,,,,,,,,,,begins the first Beavers Bend gathering. There are 30 sites which means if a reservation was made there should be 20 sites available but this year there were 23 available which means that only 7 sites have been reserved.
When I called this year to find a weekend where the whole campground was available every weekend had a few sites already taken. 7 sites are already reserved for our weekend.
So I called to question this and was told that individual reservations can be made. They told me they stopped requiring 10 sites for a reservation about 10 years ago. Go figure,
So a little FYI, If anyone wants to go camping at Beavers Bend through out the year you can make a single reservation but it has to be for 2 nights and 3 nights on a holiday weekend.
If anyone wants to call on their own periodically to see if any of the 7 sites have opened up feel free too. The number for Cabin and RV reservations is: (580) 494-6300
Sorry to be so long,
Linda
