CD, it's only 591 miles from Frisco to Cloudcroft. Hope you can make it.

Hey everyone.
I myself am very surprised by the lack of response.
I'm not worried.... I have marked my calendar for the deadline to cancel one of the campgrounds if I need to.
If we end up canceling one of the campgrounds I would prefer to let the lower fir go and keep the upper fir. It gives us more room and if we have any last minute campers we can probably accomodate them.

Glen, we would love for you to join us in Cloudcroft but I definately understand about long distance trips and funds.

I'm ready for this campout already because that means our oldest daughter's June wedding would be behind me and I will be officially finished with planning weddings.

Even though we have agreed to disagree on occasions. You just don’t know if I would be disappointed or not. ........... :)

That trip would be $154 just in gasoline, in my car with TD in tow. I'm pinching pennies right now. If things pick up in time, I still might make it.

Gage, I'm sure we'd get along fine.

I just added it up and with my truck getting 12 MPG that would be $250 in gas, at least I have dual tanks haha. Worth every penny if I had it though! New Mexico is Beeeeautiful!

Started planning our trip already. Looks to be just over 900 miles for us. So we're going to leave a week early and stop in Bisbee, AZ for a couple of nights and do some sight seeing. And then it's only 5 to 6 hours to Cloudcroft. Then after Cloudcroft we'll head for the California Coast somewhere around San Francisco and head up to the IRG. Will have two weeks to make that run. Can't wait.

Wish I had AC in the truck.

That's correct about the restrooms. However there is a campground nearby that has pay showers we can use. I don't remember how much they cost but they are worth it. Hope to see you in Cloudcroft.

We have pit toilets in the campground and I try to keep it stocked with hand sanitizer and wipes.
Some of us also have our shower tents with porta potties.

We shower at another campground closeby. I think we paid a couple of dollars a piece to shower. They are solar showers with no electricity. I just plugged my hair dryer into our generator.

Glad you guys got on the forum and we look forward to meeting/seeing you in Cloudcroft.
