Anyone want to caravan from the North Dallas area?

I am leaving Friday around 1:00 - 1:30 'cause I don't want to burn a vacation day. I'll be taking the Hwy 380 to 75, etc. I know that 1:30 is a late start though.

I'm planning on leaving FW about 6am Friday. The a/c in my truck went out yesterday & I won't have time to get it repaired before the weekend. Hopefully I will beat some of the heat by leaving that early.

We're going to leave sometime around 7:00 am Friday. We're going to have to stop by Texarkana though. My son has my camera and I have to have it for the gathering. I'll never loan it out again.

We'll be leaving the Galveston area Thursday evening after work. We're planning on landing somewhere between Jefferson and Texarkana for the night. Anyone know of a good park in the area we could camp for the night. We may just get a room since we won't get there until 9:00PM or so.

Will take 59N to Texarkana then I 30 to Benton,
Maybe some of us will run into each other and caravan.
I've always wanted to be part of a teardrop caravan.....

Doggone Linda, if y'all were leavin' Thursday morning 'stead of Friday, we could 'convoy' from here to PJ. We're leaving around noon or 1PM Thursday, will take SH 5 to Jct SH 9, then 9 north to Jct SH 154 at Oppelo & west to the park. Gonna try to rig up a 10X16' shelter (sorta like a flea market tent) for the 'community site'. That & an extra Kwik Shade should provide plenty of shelter from sun/rain, etc . All you folks have a safe trip, see ya there!

I wish I had an answer for you. The time I drove back from my sister's house in Pearland,TX I had to stop for the night ( storm ) at I-20 at Marshall,TX for the night Motel ???. I did not have a trailer at the time. The other placed I see is Atlanta State Park on Wright Patman Lake,OKBut I know nothing about it maybe some of the others will help with some Ideas.

We'll probably leave around 9:00 or 10:00 Friday morning. We're going to stop at the A - Z Factory Outlet in Alma, Ark then hope to be at Petit Jean by about 2:00. We're still trying to decide what to bring to potluck. For some folks it's automatic, banana pudding, smoked turkey, etc.... for us, we figure it out just a few miles from the campground.
