Frog legs, that sounds wonderful......

Well we will probably head out Thursday evening after work and hooking up. We will drive into Arkansas before we stop somewhere for the night.

Gary and I are going to drive as far as Springfield on Thursday evening and meet up with Fred and Taz. We will be driving to Petit Jean from there ... should arrive by noon :applause:

We are so ready to go camping. Seems like so long since Minden.

Cindy is so ready for camping that she has decided we are going to leave Thursday as soon as I get off work. We're going to stay over at Atlanta State Park near Texarkana and leave from there Friday morning.

Can't make it to Arkansas this weekend... I was really looking forward to this one... PJ is a great park...

I had to use my travel budget to buy a plane ticket back to Pennsylania to see my mother & father. My dad is not doing so well and my mom is having a hard time caring for him. I need to fly back home to help out a little & give my mom a much needed break.

Sorry about the late notice, I just made the decision yesterday & I can't use the time or money to do both right now.

Site 45 is available if anyone needs it. I don't see any reason to call and cancel my reservation... maybe a teardropper on this forum can use the site? If someone needs my site PM me for the Confirmation number. It is reserved for both nights (I was initially overcharged so the only balance due is $7.69 at check-in).

Maybe I'll make it next year. Hope you guys have a good weekend...

Joe, Sorry to here the bad news about your mother & father.
:(

My dad is not doing so well and my mom is having a hard time caring for him. I need to fly back home to help out a little & give my mom a much needed break.

I know what you are saying.
There will be other gatherings and hope this will be the first anual of many at PJ.
We will keep you in our prayers.
Safe travel.

Sorry about that Joe , but mom and dad come first ! Bless you for helping them out and spending the time with them now instead of 'then' .

I'll send a PM to Reo-Ron .... he told me he was kinda thinking , sorta planning to go but don't know if he has a reservation.

My plan was to get up Friday morning, have breakfast, and hit the road. That would probably be nine-ish in the morning.

I haven't even looked at a route. Are most of you going East, and then North? What about North on 75 into Oklahoma, then East into Arkansas?

I'd still like to caravan, but not as late as what Todah is planing. I'm a morning driver by nature.

If I know how people are going, I may be able to intercept them somewhere and tuck into a caravan.

I'm hoping to leave early, heck there's Walmart's all over between here and there.... the earlier on the road the better for me!

I printed out Nobody's (Harvey's) directions and hoping to take a less steep route.... probably taking I-40 to Russellville then south and east on 154 (?)

I need to look at the big map.

Caravan's are always good ..... it's neat to see people turn their heads!

CD,

We're gonna take I-30 from Ft Worth to Little Rock, then 630 to I40 towards Ft Smith, and exit in Morrilton to the park.

Dave,
We're planning on staying at Atlanta SP for the night also, but we probably won't get there until around 10PM. We'll C U there.

75 to Denison , TX then north all the way to I-40 looks like a good multi lane highway..

I'm heading out I-40 east just as early as I can..... I'll know better by Thursday night or tonite, then can PM ya and we might meet up.
I drive a 4 cyl honda accord so I have to slow down if the road rises.

I'm thinking the same route, but jumping off at Arkedelphia to take the "Scenic 7" up to PJ. We just did an article on that road in American Driver, and it looks really nice. Out TourMaster says it's a good drive.

Might be an idea. Guess, I'll have to look up the article or the Scenic 7. Might as well make a good drive out of it.
