What a fun time we had. Thank you to everyone that came for a wet week end but managed to make a fun time out of it. Also thanks to the Friday arrivals for their patience with The parks computer system failure. We had a great time . Glad to hear from the ones that are home and will be watching to hear from the others. It is always easier to relax when you know everyone is safely home. Now we set back and enjoy everyone's pictures, thanks for sharing them with us. Is it too early to start planning for next year? Ed & Ruby

One question from the pot luck: what happened to the leftover falafel???

Joann, I'd like to say that Lenny ate all of them.
But that would be a big fat lie.
I offered them to several of the dogs. . . .
No takers there either.
I left them on the table over night and
the raccoons said "No, way! You people eat that?" :drofl:
As an experiment the falafels went great.
At least 20 teardroppers now know
"FALAFELS are REALLY BAD!" :?

But later, I discovered that "Tequila is REALLY GOOD!"
Oh, wait, I already knew that!!!!!
Hot Cindy

when we left today, the coyote was running hard away from the falafel!

THEN we saw a turkey telling his hen to run fast and to not touch those hard round brown things that were lying by the dumpster!!

Just past him behind the dumpster, lay another turkey, with part of a falafel in its mouth. IT WAS STIFF AS A BOARD!

SO, those things are dangerous for the wildlife! lol

As for the tequila, I wasnt taking any chances that a falafel might have a bad interaction with my tequila!!
After a little more tequila, I didnt even think about those brown things.

After even more tequila, i actually found myself thinking about eating them for a snack. I decided I had had enough tequila!!! :( :o

Cindi, I think it is probably a good thing you and I live 350 miles apart
cause we could get into alot of mischief.  8) It was great to see ya again.

mike and I had a great time. Sure have missed u guys. thanks to everyone for the wonderful fellowship, food, and fun. We got home this morning and were already wanting another gathering.  :o

By the time we got unpacked and put away. it was time to mow (yes Woody, I got mine mowed! but it was so tall that I had to mow it twice!! :x  !)Then Mike edged it.One thing lead to another and we found ourselves cleaning the patio, planting some plants that I had bought two weeks ago, and we finished the day with rootbeer floats in front of a fire in the chimi!

It was an awesome weekend even thought the rain was heavy on Friday. I guess we all got a chance to either catch up on our sleep, watch some movies, or just rest and relax.

Again, a big thanks to ED and Ruby for the advance work. Maybe this next yr wont be so hard with the new reservation system that is coming......

Hello new Friends, I would like to Thank Everyone for making me feel welcome at PD. I can honestly say I have never met a greater group of people who were so open with ideas and willing to help me with my first gathering. Special thanks go out to the entire Perkins family that were there to help on Friday when my canopy decided it was a kite and took off. Lots of great memories and a real learning experience for me. Also Ed and Ruby were wonderful hosts.
THANKS AGAIN  :applause: :D

Harold, I'm glad you enjoyed your first gathering. You sure got a "baptism" on Friday. I was afraid you'd pack up and go home to sell your teardrop when I heard that Friday was your first camping experience with us.

When you get your next EZ-Up, buy a bunch of bungee cords and steel stakes, too. Get some long bungees, so you can bungee the EZ-Up to the ground and to the TD.

Thanks Casey, nope I am not giving up, it was a learning experience for me, along with some newbie mistakes that you guys were kind enough not to point out. All I received were ideas suggestions and encouragement. I am looking forward to my next gathering, and will be better prepared. Every one was so great I can't wait to do it again.
