Please note 5lbs of Smoked Sausage and an attitude adjustment because I am seriously pissedoff is now needed.

What??? Are you sure you can't make it?

I won't be rolling in until late Friday night.

Yes, more frustration than I can express right now, but thanks. Please everyone have a great time and make it a great and considerate party to the Smelleys so maybe someday I can make my dream of camping on the beach come true for a future gathering on the sands of Crystal Beach. I had this dream in my head from before I even began my build seeing a photo of Sonnetpro's TD on the beach...

Y'all have fun. I love Crystal Beach. I have a friend with a house down there and we usually drive down at least once a year. I had planned on driving down on my Harley to see you guys, but it has developed a major transmission leak, so I'll be Mr. Mechanic all weekend.

We are going to do a drive by to take a peek at some of the trailers, if you don't mind. Looking forward to seeing the trailers but not the ferry wait. Maybe we'll come REALLY early and wake everyone up......not.
Looking forward to meeting some "in the future" camping buddies. Our teardrop has a ~Labor Day completion date.

I had already taken off Fri and Mon, and a Thursday night a friend of mine said he would give me a hundred bucks to dig 20 post holes, so that's what I did Friday... When I was about halfway through and in the heat of the day, I stopped and thought: "I COULD BE AT THE BEACH RIGHT NOW"

Thomas, if I ever need post holes dug, I'm gonna call you. My husband would do about 2 for a hundred bucks.

Does it make it better or worse! LOL

Actually that doesn't count the $200 worth of steel roofing material for the teardrop garage he also gave me yesterday, so my street value is goin up.

Safely back to the barn with the trailer. Home to Corpus in a couple of hours.

Hats off to Eddie and Linda Smelley and co-host Caseydog (teddydog?) for a great weekend and marvelous venue. Many thanks to the cooks for that tasty boil Sat. nite. We couldn't have requested better weather. As usual, it was great to see old friends, make new ones and have a chance to exercise 4- wheel drive. Sorry for sneeking out and not saying good-bye.

And to all the brave souls, i apologize for the failed strawberry experiment. We shall not speak of it again . . .

Don't forget to wash off the salt spray.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Made it home about 6:00, wow what a gathering!
Thank you to Eddie and Linda for inviting us into your home and being such graceful hosts. Thanks to CD for co-hosting this event. Much thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Sonetpro for a delicious seafood boil.
I have taken a long shower and still don't know if I have gotten all of the salt and sand off of me, still need to wash the truck and tear.
It was so good to see old friends and meet some new ones.

THANKS every one of you for the best vacation I've had in a long time! Not just another camping trip, but really felt like a vacation.

Thanks to all the towing helpers and the cooks, thanks Lord for gorgeous weather (minus some cold cold wind and rain early in the week) and for getting us all there safe , even with electrical, mechanical and "flying debris" problems!

I actually made great time with a tail wind behind me and made it home about 7 ish , time enough to wash the car and camper, and fill up with gas (hooray to be back in Oklahoma where gas is $3.53 / gal!) and I got some great gas mileage coming back, about 20 mpg.

Brought in a few things but the rest will wait till tomorrow for a big hosing off !

A BIG thank you to Eddie and Linda for their generosity and wonderful hospitality! We had a great time and we are sooooo glad we didn't stay at the RV park (thank you, Eddie and Linda, for the rescue).

This was only our 3rd outing with the South Central group and we really enjoyed getting to know everyone a little bit better. Great food and thank you to the suppliers, preparers and cooks. We can't wait for the next gathering! Will post our pics soon.

Thank you all! :applause:

Another thanks to Eddie and Linda for being perfect hosts.

Just wanted to say we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed meeting everyone.

Cannot wait to do it again.

As soon as my sunburn heals up!

I did some dumping in the photo thread.
