Bluebonnet Tear Calendar

Postby Cindy » Fri Dec 15, 2006 7:42 am

Ok, the Bluebonnet Tear kind of has a schedule because she is tied to the school district's calendar where we work.
Here is a very tentative list of where we want to camp this year.

March 9-12 West Texas Area? Big Bend maybe?
March 16-18 Somewhere without rain. :worship:
April 6-8 Meridian SP. Texas -Near our hometown
May 25-28 Sea Rim maybe for the south 8)
June 14-17 ITG in Nebraska
July 4-8 Suggestions?
Sept 1-3 Suggestions?
October 26-28 Madjack,s Cypress gathering

Who can join us?

Where do you want to go? Maybe we could join you another weekend.

The only thing I know of FOR SURE well, okay that I surely want to visit next year with the Jewel Box is to the big Strawberry Festival in Stilwell, OK right near the border not far from Ft Smith, AR.... but camp over at Greenleaf or Tenkiller St Park at Tenkiller lake.

And of course ITG and MadJack's LCG weekend .
I have one son graduating High School in late May so will have to be around for that.

Other than that, I'm up for anything March thru November !! haha
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

Cindy,

Keep us informed about W. Texas because we'd love to go to the Big Bend, even if it's not a gathering. It would be nice to go in even a small group, however.

May 10th thru 12th in Stillwell, OK. I wish there was a road thru to Devil's Den State Park you would be so close. The roads from Stillwell would be long and winding dirt roads to the park. I hope to have my trailer campable by then????

I'd like to see this one happen. My vote is for Fort Davis. That's one of the most beautiful places in Texas.

Please put a post in the North section when you guys have a gathering. The ocean gatherings are totally out of range for us as a weekend gathering but the OK, N. TX and AR ones are do-able.

When I put on the Knob Noster, MO gathering back in June of '06, I sent out a notice to the North, the South and the Midwest areas. I figured that some people that lived in the states that bordered MO would be interested in coming. CRIPES!!!!!!! I had no idea that DaveL and Cindy(from TX) and IndyCubby(from IN) would show up from so far away!! Even the OK peeps came from a distance  .

Anyway, keep us here in the North informed on any bigg-uns or littl-uns you have.

Back in circulation

Postby Sodapop Teardrop » Fri Dec 29, 2006 2:54 pm

Well hello fellow teardroppers.
We have been out of circulation due to family health problems. :( Just got back on the forum, last visit in Sept. sometime. Sorry we missed the Lake Bistineau blowout, we have yet to take the former Coca-cola Teardrop out. Hopefully we will this spring. :worship:

Jeff,

I always figured you were South Central. I couldn't imagine a really great gathering without you. 8) We need you to keep us on track and to make sure our campfires are big enough.

Yeah Teri, I kind of think CO, KS and MO is "the fence" for the North and South borders. I'd like for we three states to be annexed into the South area like Sonetpro said but what da' ya' do? 8)

Last I heard Sea Rim is answering their phones, but they are not open. I don't think they're planning to open anytime soon in the near future. The manager & a few of their other employees stayed at our park (Purtis) while all of that stuff went down. :(

Texas Parks budget is hammered. They're talking about giving up a lot of parks to the Historical Society, and they're going to make the Railroad a static exhibit because it costs too much to run it.

Arkansas parks is where it's at!

Soda Pop - Glad to hear from you! You'll have to mark your calendar for Lake Bistineau in 2007; a terrific time, and only about 85 miles or so from Texarkana.
As for places to camp, Lenny and I just love Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas. Distance-wise, how is it for everyone else?
