I can see the point of having a Kansas/ Missouri group --- IN ADDITION TO -- the South central... Even if there's a campout in southern Oklahoma , there are few ks/mo folks that can make that drive, but also few Corpus Christi or Houston folks that might make it too.

How about if we all just camp everywhere ? Not enough vacation time - rats!!!

Yeah, around here there are several small lakes, not much. But just east and a little south of here is Lake Murry State Park, which is awsome. We've tent camped there and it was very cool. Big lake, nice beaches, great accomadations. Haven't been there myself, but the Witchata(spelling) Mountain  are suppose to be nice too.

Lake Murray is nice. I will be at a retreat there next weekend. As far as Witchita, I'm camping there this weekend. I'll let you know how it is.

I belong to 3 active Camping Groups, TearJerkers is one of them. These 3 groups seem to blur together at times with members from any one of the 3 showing up at the others events.

I like that.

I'm as bad as Pam, camping almost every weekend from May to Nov.

TearJerkers gives me a lot of options. I can check there calendar and always find a gathering going on, big or small in any direction, from 2 hours drive to 2 days drive away. Where I go is my choice.

There are a lot of people who attend a TearJerkers events who are not members, who don't even own a Teardrop, or own a TTT. I don't care and neither does anyone else.

There are lots of people who stop by for the day, who are thinking of building and just want to see some Teardrops and ask some questions. And they are met by some friendly, helpful people.

My chapter was either the first or second TearJerkers chapter to be formed, and they were formed to have a good time camping and to promote Teardrops.

It has always been about the people, the friendships made and the good times. Then the trailers.

Happy Trails

You see why I said it was "unfamiliar territory"? Didn't even want to breech the subject since something was tugging at my "Keep your mouth shut" side. The SCT is a GREAT group; we do have "organization" and some respected members... I only asked if it had been looked into before. Don't want any "splinters" or "cliques" and was leaning more toward that "cool logo" someone mentioned. As far as I knew, the SCT didn't have one!

The wide-range of opinions is what makes America Great... I guess, even when is goes completely in all directions!

....and NO... Sonetpro. I decline any nominations... that too was not the intend!
