Hooray!
We got our power back on last night at 9:30 PM. We had a generator running our furnace and a few lights. Donna went out to the porch came back in and said the street lights are on. So I go out and disconnect the generatror hook the furnace lead back on it breaker. Then flipped the main breaker back on, and what do you know.... LIGHTS! There are still thousands of folks in the Tulsa Area still without power. Pray that they will have patience and the power constructon crews will have good weather and work in safe conditions so they can return home to many states to their families!

Hey gang, long time no see!!

Yep, this one really did a number around here.
Finally got the power back on tonight around 7ish. I've been shacked up with the in-laws all week. (Even their power was off and on several times.)

My trees lost quite a few limbs, but my neighbors tree really did me in.

One swimming pool.............gone!
One gazeebo......................gone!
One fish pond.....................gone!
Some minor roof damage...

And yes......

One 75% complete Teardrop................gone!!!!

I'll try to get some pics up soon.

Hey All! Just checking in. We are just outside of the really icy stuff. Ours was gone in a day. (What a difference just a few miles makes!) We never lost power (Thank You Lord!) but phone service has been off and on. (What's the deal with that?) So no dial-up service here for awhile. As of just a few hours ago, my nephew in Broken Arrow was still in the dark and cold. Hopefully that'll get taken care of soon.

Glad to hear that everyone is safe, even if a few problems still exist.

Jody- I am so sorry to hear about your teardrop.

Everyone stay warm and get ready for some snow. It'll start sometime tomorrow! YUCK! YUCK! (Summer, I'm waiting!!!)

Hi all,
Glad to see everyone is safe. Sorry to hear about Jody's tear and Julie's no electricity. We only lost power for about 10 hrs Monday, but haven't had internet. We were trapped at our house till Wednesday because of trees blocking our driveway. Lots of fallen trees, lots of limbs. Work could be a problem. People that had planned on remodeling kitchens, etc. are now using that money to remove trees. I already lost a five week job! Maybe I'll go into the tree removal business!

Rick

Our driveway had a minor obstacle. About a 100 feet of this.

Well,
After the clean up, Teardrop 2.0 will begin. :D

I had disassembled the body of the tear and reassembled it in the backyard so I could get more done. The modified H.F. frame was in the front yard, so it is unharmed.

As soon as I get the junk unpacked from the stay at the in-laws, I'll get the pics uploaded.

Everybody be safe and take care for now....we'll see what round 2 has in store for us tonight. :worship:

Well friday @ 2:00pm . At work ( yuck) no power! Comming live to you via Honda 2000. I had my Generator loaned to the neighbors across the street so I borrowed it back for the afternoon to warm the werehouse before the weekend colder weather and do a little computer work. Kinda funny sitting in the dark office working by computer light. Glad to see all OK and no real diasters (cept 1 teardrop body) Maybe you can name TD2 the "Ice box"

Monday morning after the first wave of the tree attack.

Most of the rest of the tree came down during the day taking out the fence and everything else that was left. (On the bright side, my dogs have a larger bathroom now. :R )

And the partial remains of Teardrop 1.0 ready for a trip to the dump.

I almost feel guilty. It's Saturday and houses around us are just getting their electric back. And some are still in the dark! We lost power only for a few hours Monday. The power line coming to our house also feeds a water pump station, I think the water took priority. This bohemith eyesore finally paid off. I do sympathize with those still without power.

Rick

Johnny, so far Broken Arrow has missed this new wave of snow. It's 37 degrees and rainy.
