No way, that's why I get the "ready to grill" fajitas. When you make them it makes you look like a grill master.

I doubt I will have the tear done by then but the tent still works. I will put the bug in my wifes ear and we will see.

Not clear on when the camping wil be. Is it to start early Saturday morning, the 9th. Can we come up Friday the 8th and stay that night, Saturday night and Sunday night. Or will most folks be going home Sunday night. What time would be best to arrive? What specific information do you need from each of us to be included in the gathering? So, we will not need to get the normal reservation? Thanks, George 8)

GeorgeT - I'll draw up specifics and have them posted on the internet soon. The event will be April 8, 9, 10th. It will start at 2:00 pm Friday (or whenever people start making it in) and end Sunday at 2:00 pm. I figure most people will arrive on Friday and get setup, and Saturday we can have our BBQ if people are up for it.

As for what I need, just let me know if you'd like for me to hold you a spot. You don't need to pay anything until you actually show up. If you can't make it, just let me know before the event and we'll release your site to someone else. I figured there are others who would like to go, but aren't sure if they'll be ready in time. It's still a few months away, so I don't expect anyone to know for sure - but if you have a good hunch, then I'll go ahead and get you signed up. :)

It looks like 11 people have already signed up and we still have 2 months to go. We're off to a good start.

asianflava - I hope that you'll be far enough along that you could bring your teardrop. I was really hoping to see your camper.

It will probably be late Friday night before we get there. I will bring some fire wood. It's been piled up behind my house for too long.

I will be going to FL this month for a week, that leaves me 4 weekends to get my trailer framed, roofed, hatched, and epoxied. I don't think it's gonna happen. We'll probably be tent camping come April. I'll keep working on it though, I need to get it out of the garage. Also pretty soon it will be too hot to be working out in the garage.

I also wanted to bring this thread back up to the top.

Gathering

Postby KZ76017 » Thu Mar 03, 2005 9:48 pm

Looks like SteveH is ready to roll! Can't wait to see his teardrop in person.

From the looks of mine, I'll be tenting as well. I'm still messing with my axles and the new hubs don't fit my wheels that came off of the other axles so I'm going to have to buy new wheels and tires too probably. While I do have a flooring made, I may have to revise it as well now that I have repositioned my axles. I'm going backwards!

Gathering

Postby davel » Thu Mar 03, 2005 10:26 pm

I'm really looking forward to this event. I've got spring break next week and am hoping to finish the galley, wiring and outer skin. Of course I still have the hatch to go and finish the AC cover. Then the paint and of course the doors, rebuild the windows. Boy! It's going to be a busy week :?

I hope you guys that are building might be close enough to bring them even if they're not complete. If not, I hope it doesn't keep you from attending the event - it would be nice to put faces to names.

We had another person sign up event. :)
