Well, then I don't guess I need to smoke a pork butt.

I haven't gone to COSTCO, yet, so I guess I could get some ribs, instead. Brisket is already covered -- well, crockpot brisket.

But, if Charles and Linda get more ribs, there's no point in me doing ribs, too.

Maybe I should leave the smoker at home. Decisions, decisions.

Glenn, Feel free to go ahead and fix your smoked pork butt. Don't you wrap it in sausage then bacon? If so it will not taste the same as our smoked pork. I haven't heard anything about more hogs coming in with all the rain so we will not be bringing ribs ( I like to keep them to myself anyways)
Bring your smoker and fix what you planned. you know we will all eat everything

No, that's Gregg that wraps loin in sausage and bacon -- he's planning to use some space on my smoker for that heart attack inducing entree.

My original plan for a pork butt is too much like what you guys are cooking, so if you aren't doing ribs, I'll pick up some baby-backs at COSTCO and smoke those. As a bonus, you get to keep any new ribs you get for yourself. COSTCO has excellent un-enhanced pork, but you can't buy just one rack of BBs, which makes it impractical for me alone, but perfect for a pot-luck dinner.

BTW, you said you fried your last ribs. You'll have to tell me about that. I don't think I've heard about frying ribs before.

I didn't know about this thread, thanks Thomas for the link.

I plan on making "Calico Sweet Potatoes" and a Cherry/ Pineapple Dump Cake in my DO. I know someone else is going to make something similar but we can never have too much dump cake and besides, I already bought the ingredients.

Actually, I'm just doing the ribs, and Gregg is doing a smoked bacon and sausage wrapped pork loin.

Linda, I don't know what you and Charles had planned for sauce, but I am right now simmering a batch of Sweet-Hot Doghouse Sauce.

I don't use much sauce, myself, but I usually serve some on the side for those who do.

I should have enough for everything, but if you make sauce, too, we can have a little sauce-off.
