Hi everyone, For Friday evening, we will be making taco soup, which should go well with Ruby's green chili stew. And for the potluck Saturday, we are bringing a briskit, tub potato salad, buns, BBQ sauce and a desert. Can hardly wait to see you all again! :ilovecamp: Greg & Terri

Hey guys,
Well, good news, the wife's medical condition that kept us from Beavers Bend has gotten better! We were planing a trip to the Wichita Mountains that week end, but I ran this by her and she thought it would be a great idea. So...count us in. I have to work Friday, but I'm off Sat, Sun, Mon. Don't know if we'll leave Fri. night, or early Sat morning. Do I have to make a reservation with the park, or can I just show up and ask where you guys are?
Johnny

Hey Johnny,
Glad you can make it. You missed a great weekend at Beavers Bend. You will probably need a reservation if you plan to camp. You can check out the link that Mike & Brenda posted on page two of this thread about Palo Duro Canyon. When you get your reservation # you can pm Ed & Ruby with the #. They are trying to get all of us close to each other. See ya'll next week.

Ivar, Glad you guys can make it. If you make a reservation pm us the name and #. and we are going to get every one as close together as possible. They will not give us camp sites ahead of time but as we have some people arriving Thurday and some Friday we are going to try to get the camp sites comfirmed Wednesday or Thursday. Just as soon as they will let us. And we will post it as soon as we can, also I am sure they will be able to tell you at the gate where the teardroppers are camped as they only have 3 camp areas with about 30 spaces each. Hopefully as school is not out yet and the play Texas has not started yet there should be some empty spaces. Looks like the pot luck is going to be great as usual. The weather is looking to be sunny with highs of 85 to 90 and lows of 55 to 60.Are we gonna have fun? YOU BET. Ed & Ruby

I put in my loan application with Exxon/Mobil to buy gas for this trip. I have an in with the CEO (a buddy of mine cleans one of his pools -- pool number six at his primary home). Hopefully, I'll be able to pay my gasoline bill one tank's worth per month. :(

Ok, just did my very first ReserveAmerica reservation thingy, and I'm looking for a name and number, but don't see anything. On the bottom it says "This is not a site-specific reservation. You will be assigned a site when you arrive at the campground." Am I missing something? Is it the 7 digit number at the top? HELP? PLEASE? I don't want to miss another one 'cause I'm a bone-head.

PM your full name and that 7-digit number to Ed and that should be all he needs. Actually, your name will usually be enough, but the number is good to know, too.

When Ed picks up the spots, they will more than likely put us all together and give him the assignments. When you arrive, just sign in at the gate office, and pay any balance due, if there is one. They will give you a pass for your tow vehicle, and tell you where your spot and the group is.
