Greetings,

Cheryl and I have made reservations for Friday and Saturday. We are new to teardrops having just gotten a Sol-Cal last August. Looking forward to meeting others in the area and seeing this park. We will be coming from Albquerque. Have emailed Ed with info.

Dave and Cheryl,

Glad y'all can join us. We can't have to many people there. Some of us will be in Cloudcroft in July and there is still plenty of room there. Check out the Cloudcroft thread for more info.

I'll put y'all on the Palo Duro list.

Woody,

We are considering Cloudcroft, wife is having problems getting time off. Will know soon. Really looking forward to camping with other small trailers.

You guys snowed in? According to our weather you have been clobbered!

Dave,

We got clobbered pretty good. We got about 8 or 9 inches of snow & that's the most I can remember for a long time. Got stuck backing out of the driveway at 5 am. Had to shovel snow for about 20 minutes to get the truck unstuck. We lost a couple of tree limbs but nothing serious.

Hope y'all can make Cloudcroft. It's really a pretty place.

See you at Palo Duro Canyon.

We have pity for your snow plight having both grown up in the midwest. Glad to be in New Mexico.

Hey, we might make this trip. I'm not going to have a gathering in May so I'd like to come see this park. Julie's (OK Jewel) pictures from last year really cemented my desire to visit. It's only about an 8 hour trip for us so it's not a biggie, as far as travel goes.

Now, what's the way I need to reserve, the 50A sites?

We really wanted and planned on this gathering this year but it isn't gonna happen.
I'm off work May 3-7 and the last week of May so I couldn't take another Thursday off to make this trip.
I can hope for next year again.

I know everyone will have fun and will take plenty of pics

Monday is a holiday, so I'll probably make my reservation on Tuesday. I'm going to book a 50 Amp site, and if I can choose a section, I'll choose Sagebrush.

This is a really pretty park. It's worth doing. Just remember, there is an almost permanent burn ban, so don't plan on a standard issue WarPony campfire.

Mike and I got our reservations made for PDC..... I sure am ready to camp... i NEED warm weather, a great campfire, an awesome book to read and to be surrounded by fellow teardroppers If we keep getting all this snow and and they are predicting a wet spring, we just might get to forget about anburn ban... time will tell

Jeff, come on down. It's a great place to camp. All you need to do is call the Texas Parks Reservation Center at 512-389-8900. Just tell them the date & the park and request a site with 50 amp service. Ed & Ruby and Mike & Brenda are going to try to get all of us as close together as possible. Hope to see you there.

Linda, I was hoping y'all could make it this year. At least you won't have any weddings getting in the way of camping next year.

Mike & Brenda, It's really better if all the snow stays in Amarillo. We've had 15'' total this winter & most of it came at one time. We're only 2" away from tying the snowfall record for this area.

I made my reservations tonight!!! :applause: I tried calling but they were too busy to accept calls for the last 2 days, so I made my reservations online.....much easier than the phone calls!
I will be there May 13-16 (Thursday-Sunday). :D
I'm looking forward to seeing the people I met last year & the new ones coming this year!
