Well, Loyd park in Sept two years ago was my first Teardrop gathering with the LT. It looks like Loyd park in Sept 2011 will be it's last. I think that is fitting.

I just bought something I can use a love to camp in while I build my Standy.

I don't want to threadjack so please comment on the build thread if possible. I will have BOTH campers at Loyd park this year.

I feel you. I was just thinking today that if this heat keeps up, I will have to bow out. I can't even stay in my garage any length of time in this heat ( and that's with fans on).

I'm hoping that Irene (storm) will somehow impact the temperature. :worship:

We went to the park this morning and found out there is NO BURN BAN. They said as long as we keep the fires in the fire ring and don't build'em very big everything will be fine.

I have quite a bit of firewood to bring.

Hope that is "cool" burning wood as at 100+ not really needed for heat lol

If it is still really hot, and it probably will be, we need to make plans to stay somewhat cool.

I bought some misters at Lowe's last summer that worked pretty well. I can bring what I have, but we will need more. If some of the other campers bring a kit or two, we can set them up in the pavilion.

CD, we have a mister we got from Home depot that attaches to a hose. Works pretty well. We will definitely be bringing it if the temps are still in the current holding pattern. I'm am hoping for a miracle though!

Hey woody,
If there are any other group site cancellations can you work us into it? That way when Little Oz is napping we won't be too far away from the tear while visiting. Thanks

Anna

I wasn't overly impressed with the mister when we were at Loyd park last year with Del from my recollection, but if there is a breeze I can see it being a little helpful.

Hey Woodie,

I am going to have to cancel. My Todah3 is nowhere near "campable". I didn't get as much work done as I had hoped. It's been too hot in the garage to do anything before 8 PM during the week. I can't get anything done today because I have to go out of town in an hour for my sister's and a friend's birthday party.

You all have a great time! See yyou at Thanksgiving.
