well, I must have had my head up my because I hadnt even realized that Mike and I havent made reservations for Palo Duro...... DUHHHHHHHHHHH.... Ed count us in..... sorry I have not been paying attention enough... I thought Mike had taken care of getting us down....
Ed,
I will get the reservation number to you this week. We have some friends from here in Big A that have a new TAB.. they are wanting to come for that weekend as well. I will send him the info so that he can get a reservation as well.
Woody, This is shaping up to be a great group. Sure glad you had this idea last year. We could use the rain for sure, but today all we are getting is wind and more wind (gust 75 mph). So far we still have a roof but a couple of our neighbors have lost theirs. We are saving the great weather for May 14 to 17. Ed & Ruby
Ed, we only have to wait 39 more days to go to Palo Duro. Can you tell I'm looking forward to this trip? We're planning on bringing a propane heater in case it gets cold at night.(if we can't have a campfire then) We need lots of rain and no wind in the panhandle before then.
Woody, We are ready too. I will watch and let you know if the burn ban is lifted, but I do not think it will be, so the propane heater is a great idea. See you soon. Ed
Well, it looks like I can make it, and I got my hands on a Mercedes SUV with a turbo-diesel for the trip. I'll have to tent camp, more than likely. But, It should be fun, anyway.
more wind today......... 63 to 68 miles per hour gusts....... We sure need some rain.... We can always bring down our "R2D2" propane heater as well...........
