I think I made the mistake of exploring Inks Lake SP last weekend. Sun was an overcast day and we had nothing that needed to be done, we decided to take a drive. We saw some nice scenery, a castle http://www.falkensteincastle.com/ Longhorn Caverns SP http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/park/longhorn/ and an airplane museum http://www.highlandlakessquadron.com/

I thought we should check out the park and see why it gets booked up so fast. It is a really nice park, lake, rocks, trees (not as dense as Purtis). My wife decided that we are going camping next Sun. She already took Mon off "just cause" and I don't work Mon & Tue. Man, when am I going to get a chance to work on my teardrop.

Rocky,

Please take some pictures of the area and post them for us to see. I'd also like to know what you think of the area after having camped there.

Camped out at Inks Lake (just one night) we got lucky and managed to make our visit in between the thunderstorms. I took some pics but I have to upload and resize them. Stay tuned. It is a really nice park.

Morgan,

Inks Lake State Park is on Inks Lake, second of five lakes known as the "Highland Lakes" on the Colorado River about 70 miles Northwest of Austin, TX. It's a very pretty part of Texas.

I really enjoyed the gathering in Nebraska. Our grandson commented that Grandpa finally was doing something that other people actually wanted to do too. Dave isn't always in the groove with what he wants to do. I don't do much with the teardrop but I do love to plan meetings so that is why I am here. You guys are great. Thanks for being just who you are.
