Tinksdad................ I'll be bringing a two-burner propane stove and an electric/charcoal smoker so please don't subject us to your "beans and beer" diet all weekend

Seriously though, if the lake doesn't draw down and our site is under water, we'll be up in the overflow area with no electric or water. Come up and cook your grub at our site, you're more that welcome.

Back stroke and water wings!!!! All my meals for the weekend depended on having electricity. If that doesn't happen, it looks like cold beans out of the can washed down with copious amounts of adult beverage.[/quote]

If we do not have elec do not worry camp close to me and we will share the stove, fire or what ever to get your food cooked. It will not be a problem at all. Even If we get to the campsites I may not use elec . That stuff and water do not mix so I will go all propane or white gas. My wife dose not like the white gas we had a gal can leak fall over and leak ever since had to go propane.

By the way dose anybody know where we can get a floating fire ring? My wood will float and I can tie the bottom sticks together to start a fire but it may float away. So I may need a floating ring and anchor to keep it all in one spot. Got to have a fire when camping. There are no problems too large to overcome when camping buddies put there heads together.

Jack, as you know by now that Lake Bistineau SP is closed. Mr. Jett told me this morning that the decks at the lower sites were under water and the park road was closed and barricaded. The weed is like a green carpet that you could walk on. Lake Claborne SP just north of Arcadia, is taken us in so Starleen and I went there this morning and made our resv. This is roughly 30 miles east of Lake Bistineau between Arcaide and Homer La. The people there is very nice and said there would be no problem. Highway 164 between Doyline and Sibley is closed and under water. Hope this answers some questions. Dulcimer man
