Julie sory you will not make it. Hope the house relocation project goes smooth.
TexasBob, Loader, Warpony great to have a great camping area to camp at for our first Arkansas Camp-in at Petit Jean State Park. I'm hurring to get the trailer dragable for a couple of hundred miles both ways from home. That way some one can post pictures of my ?????
It still might be a collection of parts ( work in progress HE HE HE ). The Camo Tarp is part of the decore ( weatherproofing ).
I will not try to cover the important part for construction for the picture unless it makes it non-road worthy. :)

Now we might try to think up a theme and schedule of events and meals. Any ideas? ;)

...theme...campin'
...events...visitin'
...eats...definitely
Pat, we actually have a theme...campin' in T&TTT campers...unless we wanna go Hawaiian or Mexican Fiesta or......
As far as "events" go...there is a goodly amount of stuff to see and do at PJ and of course visitin' and braggin' and picture takin'...that will probably cover most of Sat...beside even with the elevation it will still probably be a tad warm...that results in a waste of beer ;)
Eats...well, I will assume we will do a potluck on Saturday, so that is where a few suggestions would be in order from the rest of the gang...personally, I am planning on bringing a bunch of World Famous Nachitoches Meat Pies(a more or less local delicacy)...a true treat for those who have never had them.......

Won't be able to make this one. We have to stay home for a change and get some house stuff done.

We intentionally came home a day early so I could cut grass, it rained from Mississippi all the way home. It stopped long enough for me to unload the truck and trailer but it started up again. It's been raining off and on ever since. Who wants to bet that my lwan will go another week before it gets cut.

Rocky,
I know what you mean. Our backyard has been a swamp for the last week. Even when the rain stops the ground doesn't dry enough to mow before the rain starts again. Been thinking about building pontoons for the tear.

Nachitoches Meat Pies and beer. Sounds great! I'll plan on making a big pot of white chicken chili. Maybe TonyJ will come and bring his Margarita makin' garbage disposal. Actually, Tony, if you can't make it, that's okay . . just send your margarita machine. We'll figure it out!

Sorry Rocky you will not be there. I cannot see the herd of goats in the back yard the grass is so high.
The ducks have snorkles also. ;) The ducks look like a sub's with a periscope when they swim from all the rain we have had.

...well, we still don't know if the wife(aka the poor girl) has that weekend off...and I certainly will not have a camper to use in time but yesterday I called the lodge(after checking online, they had no vacancies) to ask where the nearest motel rooms would be...the very nice lady I talked to said..."hold please" after just a minute orso, she came back on and told me they had a cancellation and had a room available, so I booked it and now have a confirmed reservation at the Mather Lodge for Fri and Sat nights...about a mile andda half from the campground...sure beats driving, 20mi back down PetitJean Mountain to Morillton...so if it all works out(work/wife/wise) we will be there

I know Julie you would like to be there but I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures. You know the mad one will be there to insure enough pictures will be in order. My wimpy camera is not that great when it is charged.

As for the campgrounds and area it is great views and plenty to see and do. I glad we picked the Petit Jean State Park for our first gathering.

Now if I could get those pontoons strapped to the frame I could move the trailer our of the swamp that my yard has become the last two weeks.

I need to get busy on the trailer rain or shine. Just a few weeks away.
