Danny, you are correct. We had a much needed rain yesterday afternoon and last night. Maybe more on the way. I am not sure about the burn ban, but we will be checking the first week in May and then will keep a close watch on the burn ban and will let everyone know. They do not lift the burn ban very often, but we can hope. Mad Jack, so glad you and Marlene can make it. We are working on menus, working around a possible burn ban. What we have in mind at this time is Frito Pie Thursday evening and BBQ sandwiches Friday evening. And some kinda breakfast Friday and Saturday morning.
I guess we can start a thread for the pot luck about the first of May. We are sooo ready to go camping. Ed & Ruby

Jeanne, We are going out there Thursday to get spaces, however, on Thursday morning they will only give us spaces for the ones arriving Thursday, on Friday morning we will go back to the gate and get spaces for the ones arriving Friday. So it should not be a problem to change to Thursday, but you will need to call and change your arrival date. If you do let us know and we will move you on the list and add a few Frito pie makings.
There should also be a few other things Thursday night like hominy casserole and for desert some cobblers (peach and cherry). For Friday night we are planning on BBQ sandwiches, shells with cheese, baked beans and for desert more cobblers. And maybe some more Frito Pie for the ones that did not make it Thursday. Burn ban is still on. We are getting promises of rain but so far no rain. Ed & Ruby
