Hey Woody,

I saw on the news last night that Joe Pool was a bit flooded this weekend after all the rain. They also said some campers in Loyd Park had to move to higher ground and that the shoreline was covered in debris. Is the park going to be campable for us this weekend??

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

Funny you should ask. We saw our normal campsite on the news last night and the table is underwater. Never fear, Woodie talked to Dave and said we were one of the ones moved to higher ground but that the park is campable.

Well, I didn't notice Woody's note on the first post. I'm glad he could get us changed to higher ground and still keep us all together. Thanks Woody

I also noticed that I'm next to Spinnernut now. Let the party begin  (and there goes any sleep I was wanting to get  )

To make it easier to find your sites, (assuming that this circle is set up the same as the others in the park), odd numbered sites will be on one side of the street and even numbered sites on the other.

Woody should have put me on the other side of you. I guess Woody likes you.

I took CaseyKraft 2 out on the road, and the DannyKraft frame stayed together -- it even towed straight. Amazing.

BTW -- BRING INSECT REPELLENT

There WILL be mosquitos out there, with all this wet weather. Campfires and tiki torches will help, but bring some insect repellent just to be sure you don't have your evening shortened by our little blood-sucking friends.

Mike and I have found that the insect repellent LANTERNS ..the ones with the candle and the little card thing... are AWESOME at repelling flys and mosquitoes...... we have used them for two years now and once the thing is lit, off those little buggers go.... I even keep two of them lit at times.. one on each side of the camp. I will try to get a picture attached.....\

Looks like I'll be arriving around midnight friday night/saturday morning.

Wish I could arrive during the daytime, but I'm sure the campfires will still be going when I get there.

I hope we are doing a potluck on Saturday. Several of us are planning on it so I would say bring on the food.
