I will do mashed potatoes for Saturday night. If there is going to be a Gumbo cook Friday night, I can bring an ingredient for that, if the Gumbo Cooks will post a list. Also I can bring some eggs for breakfast Sat. morning. Ronnie

I will bring fruit tray for breakfast. And for Saturday pot luck I will bring Mac & Cheese and Corn on the Cob. I have not decided on a meat yet.

8 to 10 lbs bacon for breakfast. Desert for Saturday potluck along with a meat dish. I will contribute financially if we do the Friday night meal. We will not arrive early enough Friday to bring an ingredient for that meal.

FRIDAY Night meal. I personally wouldn't mind a casual potluck for us that are already there & share with folks that roll in Fri & no time to cook dinner. Who's with me?

Some info on the park....

We are under a statewide burn ban. Charcoal can be used in BBQ pits.
The lake is down again.

But the leaves are turning and it is beautiful as always.

They might prove me wrong but we have been watching the fawns loose their spots. See them most every day. The park staff and volunteers are excited about yall coming back to see us.

If you have any questions i will tell you what i know.

We are in the big silver Avion in the camp host spot if you need any help.

I'm in for the Friday night meal .... I'll bring chicken.
As for Saturday night I understand it's gumbo, someone tell me what to bring please.

The gumbo has always been on Friday night with a seperate thread listing the ingredients with people signing up. I think 2bits has always led the thread on the gumbo ingredients but he will not be here this year. Looks like we might not have the Friday night gumbo. Let me know if things are different.

I haven't been keeping up here. I was waiting for an announcement from the Tearjerkers Louisiana Chapter, but haven't seen squat there on the LCG. See you guys next year!

Well, it looks like we are dipping out of this years event. We have site #32 from Thursday thru Sunday and I think have the first night paid for with $40 left in the balance. If somebody wants to get a little closer to the action, you are welcome to it. We'll see you all in the future!!!
