Rocky, You sure better get busy. I'd hate for Backwoodsman to have to eat your banana pudding again

Guess I need to get busy myself and clean up the teardrop and double check the packing list.

Yep yep yep !!!! My jewel box is campable but I'm trying to get all those little things fixed/worked out/finished.... 22 days and we'll be there !!!

So when are you all arriving? My plan is to have things packed and the battery hooked up and such, and ready to drive out early as I can on that Friday a.m. ... it's about a 3 - 3.5 hr drive for me ... so let's hope I'll be there before noon .

I am going to try and make this gathering but I won't know until probably a week before. It's and 8 hour drive from Topeka and I'd have to do it after working all day Friday and by myself, Anna works weekends now. I'll just have to see....... hope there will be a spot to camp in. I may leave REALLY early in the A.M. and arrive sometime in mid-morning. We'll see.................. :worship: !!

OK y'all.... 21 days and counting !!!!!

The weather has been really nice here in central Oklahoma (BB is way se oklahoma) and I checked accuweather and could only get a 15 day outlook, but it all looks like sunny and in the high 60s and mid 70s .
nnnnnnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

If you do any online weather searches , just use Broken Bow, OK as the city... close enough...

But youknowwhat or shine... we'll have a good ole time !!!

Okay, what about the pot luck?

I'll get the ball rolling by volunteering a veggie -- a black bean, corn, tomato and peppers mix, with a little bit of sausage for flavor, that is good with most grilled and smoked meats. Since I am not able to bring my smoker, I'll leave the meats to someone else.

Okay, who's next? When it comes to camping out, food is something WAY too important to leave till the last minute. :Flippin Burger:

Wow, since it's our first time I'm nervous! Shayne had mentioned doing fajitas. We have a GREAT fajita recipe, but have to search for skirt steak, nobody in T-town carries it. How's does that sound?
Also, we've been shopping! Got our mattress last night at Sam's; 3" memory foam, queen size. Also got a great table there; 4 ft x 2ft that FOLDS in half and has adjustable height from 24-36 inches....Slowly, we're getting the gear!
Are we there yet?????? 8)

Gary and I just bought a 14 inch DO .... so I will plan on making breakfast for everyone (Saturday or Sunday) ... !! Also will make a Mexican Meatloaf for dinner one night. Gary and I will be down on Friday around noon. Since I had put in for retirement after graduation this May, they decided I wasnt needed, so Friday at 4:30 pm they had me clean out my desk and leave. I was pretty bumbed ... since all the teachers were gone and all the cadets were at a 3-day retreat ... I didnt get to say goodbye. Oh well. Now we can really get serious about camping and cooking !!! :applause: Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting a lot of new ones.

Would there be any objection to beer bread? I thought I would make some for the pot luck if it is o.k. with everyone.
